I'm an American that has been to Dubai many times. I don't like the newer parts of the city because they seem soulless. The older parts felt more authentic to me. The best thing about Dubai for me is the diverse restaurants. There are very few Emiratis there. Most are expats from around the region and the world and the cuisines represented in the city are amazing!

01:20 just for the record, Samosa is not “typical Arabian foods”….. it’s Indian
@cyberpunk.386 Жыл бұрын
Samosas are said to have originated in Persia and Central Asia bevor they were introduced to the Indian subcontinent in the 13th or 14th century by chefs from the Middle East and Central Asia who cooked in the royal kitchens for the rulers of the Delhi Sultanate.

@@cyberpunk.386 I stand corrected…my bad!
@andrewhcit Жыл бұрын
@@krisx74 By now it's also traditional in India too, of course. Almost everywhere along the Indian Ocean coast between Tanzania and Indonesia, it's been around long enough to be considered a traditional part of the local cuisine.

@@caribesh every country on earth was built on these three horrible acts. Let's talk about Saudi Arabia killing thousands of Yeminis, China with the Tibetans, India with their Muslim Minority, just a few examples... And these are still happening today and guess what these countries borders are well-drawn and are all independent. Sorry to say but no country is spared from being a "saint" a "role model".
