This fucking pain is unbearable, the man she chose, died in a crash while she was at my mothers.... I was one of the first on scene, I held her tight and cried with her. I helped her grow through the moment, as I lost her she lost him, then I lost her all over again. She’s now married with 1 son, and a daughter on the way. It’s been 2.6 years.. it still burns in me deep. I’m better now but I carry the trauma from that day august 29th 2018... they say time heals wounds, but even trusting the process it still feels the same... Never take for granted this life we have everyone. You may not have the people or the moments you cherish. And please take photos, never fail to. this is a great song and i relate to it a lot. i personally feel like im a toxic person in interpersonal relationships, and i tend to self sabotage them. i really resonate with the line "you deserve to be with someone else that treats you right, not a project of a person, missing pieces you wont find". i like how lund sings about internal issues and doubts about ourselves that we all deal with, instead of the typical love song victim-hood type where they continuously blame the other person.

I feel like you are inside my head sometimes bc I relate so much. Depression and anxiety wreak havoc on me, but my ptsd jumps in to take the lead, and since I'm a bipolar gemini, my other personalities keep me company. And your words are like honey to my soul, soothing me. Knowing I'm not alone in this misery helps, but I dont ever want anyone to feel this misery. So I try to find some positive in this negative, and that's knowing we can overcome whatever we put our minds to, and in order to feel the goodness, we must know what bad is. I love Lund, I will meet him one day. He is my hero and inspiration.
