Marlene's life with migraines - The Brain Prize 2021

Malene suffers from chronic migraines, and the search for a treatment that works for her has often felt like a series of doors getting slammed in her face. But through ground-breaking discoveries a team of researchers at the Danish Headache Centre in Copenhagen is making exciting strides in better understanding how our brains and migraines work and bringing new options - and hope - for patients.
Professors Lars Edvinsson, Peter Goadsby, Michael Moskowitz and Jes Olesen have been awarded The Brain Prize 2021, worth 10 million Danish kroner, for their groundbreaking work on the causes and treatment of migraine.
