Whenever I use hollow frogs, rats, etc , I habitually squeeze out the water every couple of casts. Also a dab of silicone caulk where the hook comes through the body will slow down the waterlogging.

Its realistic because spiders actually fall off trees and crawl/float across water and fish know this. These work 1000%

I just saw a giant wolf spider this past weekend in top of the moss in our family lake that was the size of my palm. Definitely a realistic bait. Unfortunately the quality seems to be poorly executed with this particular product but hopefully they improve on it!

Best day I've had I was using these and it doesn't matter if they sink its still effective. I do use a spinning setup for these.

It's a fish getter for sure! Dang legs on them just don't seem to last super great but there's some great tips in the comments here on how to get more life out of them

I bought the fish and the frog, I passed on the spider. But they work caught 3 pike, biggest one was 27 inches

Thanks for taking one for the team. Been wondering about all these Lunkerhunt weird topwaters. I've heard the wings on the dragonfly get torn off pretty easy too. I think I'll take a pass. Maybe you can use them as Halloween decorations? My favorite part was when you got out of the truck and looked over to see who was watching before you whipped out "this little creepy dude." Hahaha. 🕷🕸🐟👍

I bought their popping frog, caught one little 1 pounder on it. Checked the lure and it had a rip in the front. Put it back in the package and got my money back.

Down here in Louisiana, we have aquatic spiders. Yes, they do get that big. Walking the bank, one popped up. Before I could finish wondering if it was going to get ate, he got nailed. Before I could finish a mold design, they were hitting the shelves.

I have the black widow color and I just slay them on it in South Florida. Still have not lost a leg. Also if you know how to fish you would know to tie it on a spinning rod.

Spin rod definitely on a 1/4oz weight and glue the legs with gel loctite

I would super glue around the legs under the belly and would only use it if I know I'm around big bass.

Dec. 18, 2020----Evilbay (China) has 4" spiders for $5 each w/free shipping, in 5 different colors. As to missing legs, why not a couple of thick rubber bands superglued together, then glue them into the spiders body. And hadn't heard of the spider body filling with water though. Thanks for the video.

Does anyone know how to keep the spiders floating? After the first catch which was around 6 lbs the bait started sinking fast....every cast I was squeezing the water out and the spider started to land upside down.....was thinking about filling it with something that can displace water or keep it floating.....

You altered the bait before trying it. Bet you made it take on water and loosened the thing that held the legs. Also, you were moving pretty fast.

Lol I can speak for Thomas with the utmost confidence that he didn't alter the bait. Honestly, that's kind of a weird accusation to make considering he has no skin in the game whatsoever or have motivation to make the lure look bad. It simply performed poorly and exhibited bad quality. You can find consistently bad reviews of this lure all over the internet.

I can say with the utmost confidence that the spider was unaltered in any form or fashion. Its performance was as show. The second spider feel victim to the same results on the first fish on the very next trip. Which wasnt on video. The speed of the retrieve was simply due to the fact it was sinking, and changing the cadence.

I saw him twist the hooks out on a soft body bait. The force to do that is massive on a soft bait. I saw another KZbinr do the same thing with the same result. The thing started to sink then fall apart. The difference is other youtuber was in still water and slayed the bass.

At least your legs lasted 2 bites. I caught a 2 lb bass and was so impressed with the action, the way it cast, the looks, etc. then I went to make another cast and the legs separated from the hollow body. Luckily I was wading and got them back but was super disappointed. Not worth $9. Going to buy some JB weld and reattach with a glue that works.
