The song is truly luo/acholi. It brings out the true culture of the luo people, whether in Uganda, south sudan, Kenya, tanzania or drc congo or diaspora. I am a Kenya luo and the song invokes within my being deep emotional attachment to it and the roots of the luo people and empire. God bless the luo people and every luo wherever they are dispersed migrated to on the globe.

@lashillukcollo56608 жыл бұрын
Yes the dholuo is more precise than acholi luo. we have tended to over simplify the language. 'Thum ma mit' is fully understood by acholi luo.Althoug Tum or Thum is more used to refer to the animal horn blown here at the start and at 1:38-1:43 before the obligatory praise/boast/ "Mwoch" and Kijera/Ululation at the start and 4:05+. There is a lot going on in this song that requires attention in order th seconstruct.
