Back when I first got introduced to him, listening to food and liquor was such a breath of fresh air for me as a hip hop fan. I instantly thought that Lupe has the ability to know what to give to hip hop right when it needs it the most. So now, when I heard the samurai track I knew that this album was going to be special. This album has such a nostalgic feel and this is what hip hop needs right now especially celebrating the anniversary of it. How many hip hop artists can you say that not only have contributed to the hip hop culture but also help teach it to preserve its legacy. These are the things that makes him great.
