@@distinctloafer i dont think its that weird or new at all, we adopt phrases all the time. Even by saying "oh my god" when you're going through some emotion, you're not exactly creating an original sentence but still getting your feelings across in a way that's easy and recognisable. "i am looking respectfully" just describes a little more specific thought process thats reserved only for something intriguing, but originates from internet culture so it usually has a purpose of making the other person chuckle. At some point talking through memes becomes automatic and familiar to others, hence the meaning of the word meme. It's just a more prominent behaviour these days, there isn't much reason for spreading it, since it doesn't have an inside joke most people will understand, and better yet if the receiver has already heard it before. I'm sorry for rambling but idk how serious of an explanation you wanted.

in a poll of characters viewers wanted to see get their own tv shows, while fujiko scored highest of lupin characters in both the mens and womens sections goemon scored higher in the womens' than any other lupin male character. unlike in the mens' section none of the others even made the top 10
