Tremia you are beautiful. Your hair looks beautiful too. It is so nice to see you up and walking about. Buddy is such a pro..he has always been the best little 4-legged family member for you. I'm happy your tests are coming back better Thank God your heart tests came back okay. Thank you so much for the update. I keep you in my prayers all the time. Buddy is AWESOME!! Glad you got to get outside... Praying for you!! Dr's need better bedside manners, especially for patients who travel long distances. A few extra minutes won't hurt....

LACajuninNC1 We were dumbfounded when he left the room. I was still even in mid sentence of talking to him. We spent close to $3000 to make this trip and Dwayne's time off of work. It makes me sick to think of the loss of our finances.

treappling1 I know exactly what you are saying... We expect more from our physicians, who we rely on to take care of us. I recently went for a thyroidectomy and my surgeon was 3 hours away. Granted, you and Dwayne had a greater distance to travel, but the experience was the same. When he said he wanted to see me again after I saw my Endocrinologist, I said OK, but never made the appt. All he was worried about was my voice hadn't fully returned at the time of that appt anyway and it eventually did... just took a bit longer. Like you a trip like that takes a lot out of me ( 6 hours round trip for a 10- 15 minute visit) as I also have arthritis and sciatica. So, I can relate. At least they caught your heart problem... even though your regular Dr had to read the report and get it taken care of... That's a positive... :)

You really should write to the doctor and the hospitals he works at and say just what you said here. To travel that far and be treated like that is so very wrong. My doctors ALL give me the time I need to get answers. That Dr was verging on incompetence

trvlbuggy we honestly weren't given the time to ask questions. In all fairness his nurse did call us about 2-3 weeks later to see how I was doing. I was very upset and crying and I was told she couldn't understand why I was upset and there was nothing more she could do for me. She didn't even give me the time to explain I was going to have a heart cath, I was having several masses biopsied for malignancy, etc. Very disheartening because I truly respected Dr. B.
