What a great start to your holiday, and its great to see you getting into some bigger fish. You are right about lure fishing, its so much fun and my favourite too. Having no big heavy box, tripod and stuff is a huge bonus too… Keep em’ coming - i’m watching out for the next one 😁

Fantastic fishing, well done Hinny fishing in such beautiful tranquil surroundings. Camping is definitely the way to go, hope you enjoyed your curry and a well deserved beer. Just a thought, god forbid you should ever get into difficulty fishing such remote locations, but do you have a means of raising the alarm for help and do you wear a life vest or some other flotation aid. Apologies for mentioning but important to ensure your safety. Tight lines Hinny.

Wherever you see wee circular indentations in the rocks, they are called 'Carrachs'.. always a sign of good fishing places.. 🎣 Limpets were crushed in those holes and then used as groundbait to attract the Saithe and Lythe 🎣 On an incoming tide. Saithe in particular was a hugely important protein supplement to the indigenous peoples diet x A white lure was always the preferred option btw 👍
@fishinghinny5 ай бұрын

Any tips hinny? Iv been on the rocks at marsden South Shields spinning for pollock and only had 1 small one on feathers , iv been trying 28g silver spinners but had no look any tips?
@fishinghinny6 ай бұрын
It should pick up soon around our coastline, just keep on trying. I’m not personally a fan of feathers, I much prefer a light setup and lures or spinners, try changing your lure after seven or eight casts different colours and sizes, move around to a different spots, try weed-less lures and work them right on the bottom, you’ll get on the fish eventually 👍🎣🐟
