Great video and great to see catch and release. Way it should be.

David Mackeown Thanks. I’ve not kept a Bass in quite a while now especially as the numbers are struggling. Cheers for watching and tight lines. 👍🎣

Nice work Tom. Some new lures there as well. Down in Cornwall in a few weeks myself so want to get amongst them. Quite a fast retrieve I noticed - maybe where I'm going wrong!
@LureoftheOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Hi Glen. Yes I do work them fast, I feel it sometimes triggers a strike when they are not really feeding. The patch for example works better for me when it’s quick and splashy although I have caught very slow also. Funny game lure fishing. As you know I think it’s best to keep mixing it up. Good luck on you trip. Hope you find a few, should be some biggies about. 👍

Nice productive sessions, landing them looked hairy at times, well done.

Cheers Steve. Think the terrain looks worse on film. Some worse spots on the lower Severn! Tight lines. 🎣👍

That was awsome to watch well done, would you mind sharing what your rod and reel is your using
@LureoftheOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. The rod I just picked up second hand. It’s a Tailwalk eggin 9 foot 6, cast up to 35g. I also have an older major craft skyroad which I use for heavier conditions/lures. Both great rods. The reel is a shimano Stradic in 4000 size although I think I prefer the 2500 size. Tight lines. 👍

Thanks for the video. That looks great. Do you know of anywhere within striking distance of Bristol where there's reasonable bass fishing from the shore? Thanks in advance.
@LureoftheOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Plenty of Bass in the Bristol Channel but a bit coloured for lure fishing. Plenty in the summer months to bait. Maybe try the Gower or Devon if you looking to lure fish. Tight lines. 👍🎣

Hi could you tell me are you fishing with mono or braid! Thank you.
@LureoftheOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
I always use braid for lure fishing. Helps with casting and working the lures. Normally fish it straight through to the lure. 👍

Nice vid, what braid rod and in particular are you using looking to replace some gear any recommendations for the sort of fishing you are doing?
@LureoftheOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
The rod in this vid is a Tailwalk eggin 96. Casts up to 35g. My other rod is a majorcraft skyroad which cast up to 42g. I picked up both second hand. The skyroad is easier to cast very forgiving if the timings not quite right but the Tailwalk is very light and when you get you timing right chucks lures a great distance. Heard lots of good things about the HTO rods like the Nebua. The Braid is sufix 832 but have Daiwa j braid in the past with no problems. Hope that helps and thanks for watching. 👍🎣

@@LureoftheOutdoors Thanks mate appreciate it I am also stuck on a choice for a reel for the bass! I like the sufix 832

Depends on budget. I love my shimano stradic. 🤞
@bsa56504 жыл бұрын
@@LureoftheOutdoors Cheer had a stardic in the past which I thought was quite good budget perhaps about £100
@LureoftheOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
BSA 56 I think the older stradics you can pick up for that price. I try and pick them up second hand. The newer version is around £150. Maybe have a look at the Penn slammer 3. 👍🎣
