Thanks bud. I wish but unfortunately I’ve seen it with my own eyes. It may not be parks but it’s contractors they’ve hired. I’ve watched the helicopter spray around old 96, Jackson hill and the deer stand several times. I use to have several videos of where they were spraying. There may be some on the Sam Rayburn facebook pages you could find. You can probably search them and find a handful. It was bad for a while. There and Toledo bend they were getting after it.

I’ve got 4 i really like. A 3 blade buzz bait, clear Tiny torpedo, a pop r style bait and definitely a whopper plopper for the morning time.

Hey lance thanks for this information lance you know what is a good bait for the spawn is a bluegill prop bait jerk pause retrieve and it works pre spawn, spawn,.post spawn a little tip for you your always giving me tips . I’m in pirates cove about to go fishing but my boat has no electronics and not even a depth finder. I’ve been throwing most of those lures up shallow and try fishing points and troll out from the point but still no luck. If you could give my any advice I’d appreciate it. I know it’s hard to catch without any electronics but I’m just trying to catch atleast 1 bass this trip. Thank you!

Hey bud. So check this out. I grew up dirt poor so I can totally relate. What worked amazing for me is I fished and still fish very simple. I look for obvious cover and the cover that’s a little different. Say if you have 100 standing logs and there is one that’s laid over on it’s side generally speaking there usually will be a bass on it. The boat docks can be good also to pitch and flip this time of the year. I’ve always done decent on them. My main focus would be grass. I know there use to be a pile in there but not 100% sure if any is or not anymore. If there is none try this. Go to the very very very back of that cove where it actually is more of a creek. Fish that creek and you should catch some. That’s always worked for me. Let me know how you do

I was going to fish Bass Champs this Saturday but my teammate is being forced to work over so I’m gonna jump in the big bass splash the following weekend and go for a boat! That area definitely the football jig on points, pop r/yellow magic style around the hay grass and a white frog. The Shad spawn should be going on down there right now.

I’ll fish it from 10’ to 25’. I really like making bottom contact with it. That gets me a lot of those bigger bites. You don’t get many on those deep cranks but you get the right ones.

That’s awesome!!!!! I hope it comes back. I sure miss it. I can remember punching grass in 25’ of water around Texas island.
