How to check Coolant Level on Audi A1 Sportback.
It is important to make sure your Audi A1 engine coolant is at the correct level and is topped up with the correct VW Audi approved coolant antifreeze.
If you are going to top up the Audi A1 engine coolant then only do this when the engine is cool and never when the engine is HOT as the coolant is a pressurised system and gets very hot, you could get burned by escaping steam.
This video is on the Audi A1 Sportback 30 TFSI 2019 model.
When the Audi A1 engine is cold, the coolant level should be between the MIN and MAX marks. When the engine is warm, it may be slightly above the MAX mark.
Any loss of coolant normally means a leak in the cooling system. Drive to a VW Audi garage as soon as you can and have the cooling system checked.
A loss of coolant can also occur if the coolant boils and is forced out of the system as a result of overheating. Hopefully this will never happen to you.
The coolant and coolant additive can be a health hazard. Store the coolant additive in the original container in a safe place out of reach of children.
Note: When working in the engine compartment be aware that the radiator fan may start running suddenly, even if the ignition is switched off.
Only use Manufacturer approved Audi VW coolant antifreeze. VW Audi G13 coolant is recommended. Do NOT use regular store-bought coolant, which typically doesn't correspond with the specifications of an Audi cooling system and never mix coolants (ie. Never mix pink, blue, green coolant).
If in doubt what coolant to use then check your owners manual or buy coolant from your local VW Audi dealer.
Enjoy your cup of tea, enjoy your Audi A1 Sportback and safe driving to you.
