Hey Steve....I'm using TCP regularly. I think this was an existing issue from when I purchased the plane that just got worse. The TCP and leaning the mixture on the ground helps keeping those valves clear.... thanks for watching!

dirt simple airplane... only made a bit more complicated by the electrical system. Biggest amount of work is Corrosion Inspection. These are basically flying motorcycles.. only less complex.

Looking at purchasing an inexpensive aircraft and the Luscombe is on the short list. Would you mind sharing the ballpark figure for what an annual goes for on a Luscombe?

Hi Dan, I've only had two done on mine and they were both expansive. The first was a pre-buy annual which we performed.the heavy maintenance inspection. The second was this year after flying 200 hours. This year's annual covered typically maintenance items that you'd expect after flying 200 hours. I'd say your looking at $800 to $1k for an average inspection. Mine have been more but my circumstances probably wouldn't be considered average.

Great video concept! I was going to ask you at some point what the duration and extent of an annual inspection are but it looks like you beat me to it.

Thanks Dave.....Once a year we need to do an annual inspection. It's WAY more detailed than what's in the video (didn't want to put people to sleep Lol).
