The shower bombs are actually used by holding them in your hand and letting water dissolve it. Then you rub the foam on your body so you get the same skin softening benefits of a bath bomb. 😀 I love this diy advent idea!

Many people get oranges in their stocking and in my husband’s family they have Austrian heritage so they celebrate St. Nicholas Day and they get oranges then too.

Back in the days when citrus was rare and expensive for people in Northern climates, children would get an orange or tangerine in their Christmas stocking, with perhaps some candy (sugar was also rare and expensive, as it grows in tropical climes). Orange is definitely a Christmas scent, though oranges and candy are far more available and less expensive today. Keep an eye out for these details in classic literature set at Christmas time.

Traditionally, in the UK, you put an orange or a clementine/tangerine in the toe of stockings ( the fabric leg and foot-shaped container used for children’s gifts, usually the ones that Santa brings) .
