I work at a lush and theyre serious about ethics so much so that all of our shop cleaning products must be cruelty free and even our toilet paper needs to be recycled and eco friendly. We cannot even use postits because the glue is tested on animals. Also Love and Light and a few other products you mentioned have been discontinued for a while now.

I know and I'm in denial about it 😂 I truly love how much Lush stands behind all of their brand ethics. It's really rare for a brand and it's amazing to see it continue despite how big they are.

Lush is my favorite brand too!! Currently loving the Sleepy soap, also the reusable 7to3. Twilight body spray is an all time favorite! American cream is another scent family I've been loving, and so is Once upon a time 🍏

It’s so funny to hear you talk about the products. I work at lush and Bucks Fizz is actually a fresh orange scent, and candy rain a very strong very sweet one. Also, Candy Rain is way heavier then veganese! Veganese is after Happy Happy Joy Joy the lightest conditioner Lush has!

If Valkyrie ever comes to USA, highly recommend. It’s a hair conditioner that smells like rose jam. Leaves my thin straight hair feeling soft and bouncy. I got it from Lush UK.

You have turned me into a total Lushie! Thank you! I love Lush! Ride or die naked skincare, my holy trinity is Full of Grace for daytime, and Argan naked serum topped by Banana Peel (or is it Banana Skin, I never say it right) at night! Magical Maringa is the final daytime step before makeup, love it! I’ve started using Kalamazoo as my double cleanser at night, Gritty Politty in the morning twice weekly, and newly tried and am a convert to Cup o Coffee! The naked shower gels do ok in summer, but I need Oaty Creamy Dreamy in winter. Buffy too. Seanic shampoo bars. Oh and the plain and simple coconut oil bath bomb. Whew. Quite the list. My boyfriend says I have a Lush addiction! Yeah, I do! Considering I’d never been in the store until a year ago... but my skin looks amazing since switching!!! I commonly get taken for at least 10-15 years younger. My skin looks better and younger now than it did ten years ago! Just sayin. Thank you Tashina for introducing me to Lush! ❤️👍🏻😁. My skin thanks you too!

Have you ever just tried using hair conditioner to shave with? That's what I do. I'll do everything else first (wash, shampoo etc) to let the hairs soften a bit. works great!

I LOVE all your lush reviews! I’ve never tried their products but really want to so your recommendations are super helpful! I do have a store energy but I’ve been avoiding it bc I’m fearful for my wallet 😂

It's a valid fear 😂 What I would do is research online first and make your shopping list. Go into the store and try things! You can get demo's of products and you can also take home samples of most of them too. That way you can leave with things to try and see if you want to get them next time.

Yes- Would appreciate more reviews from Lush. I got back into makeup in 2015 because Lush offered healthier cosmetic alternatives like their liquid eyeshadows and liner and lipsticks and blush and skin tint, and luminous/glow base cream (forgot the name-but it’s beautiful). It has taken me 3 years to finish all the color cosmetics. Even though some of them “expired” I still used them up well past their date. Just had to add a bit of glycerine to make it work. The base products I finished so fast...wish those came in larger containers. Maybe they have 🤷🏻‍♀️. It’s been a while since I bought anything from them. Your review makes me want to revisit their store near me. Do you purchase any color cosmetics from Lush? If so can you share / recommend any? This question goes out to any of your friends on here as well. Ok thx. ✌🏼

I don't, but they have discontinued most in North America. Some are available in the UK, but not here yet. Hopefully one day!

Thank you so so much for the review! So detailed, wow! You always put so much effort into your reviews and you share so much information, as a viewer I appreciate that a lot! Also your voice is so calming to me haha I love Lush as well, I got Happy Hippy as a sample and I LOVED the scent, so fresh and it actually does make you happy when you smell it lol I'm also trying out their deodorant (T'eo I think is called) and it smells AMAZING but I don't know if I like it better than Aromaco (for efficacy). As for hair, I'm using Trichomania now and I'm super happy with it and for conditioner the American Cream solid conditioner, which is a littke tricky to use but it gets the job done! Just one thing I wanted to Ask you: I wanted to try the solid shower gels but like you I always thought they were other types of soap with other types of scents, why would you say they're completely different? I'm very curious, since I got the Outback Mate soap (which smells absolutely incredible) but it was a little bit drying on my skin! Thank you if you reply! Omgosh I loved reading what you're loving from Lush right now! Okay, so the solid shower gels are, I think, more moisturizing. The formula suds' differently than the soaps and feels a bit different on the skin. If you're finding the soap drying, I would give the naked shower gels a try.

I've heard it as well! Lush usually publishes lists of products they are going to discontinued, and sometimes it's different in the UK vs North America. I'm not seeing much aside from rumors, so I'll wait and see if Lush announces it.

I love lush. I just don’t understand why they continue to use black plastic for a lot of their products. I know you can bring them back to the store. But black plastic isn’t recyclable. For a company that’s very much eco friendly, I don’t understand their thinking process on that. I feel like most people are to lazy or don’t have a lush store near them to do that. Anyways. I still love lush a lot and their products are awesome.

We send them back to the factory and they get melted down (to get rid of bacteria) and re use them, so the plastic never gets wasted and it just created more pots :•)

I think their hope is that people will re-use them and, like Pauline said, they are coming out with a lot of naked products too which can help. While I know some regions cannot recycle black plastic, I do think it's always good to check with the local programs to see what the options are. I've lived in some areas where I can recycle them and some where I cannot, but I just re-use them for things most of the time.
