Around 1969 Mr. Johnson made a couple of visits to the Colonial Tavern in Toronto. On one visit he performed with Big Mama Thornton and the Atlanta Blues Band. He always gave 100%. Those are good memories!

Not much known in Europe. I saw him late in the 70's in Barcelona. It was, yeah, solid and bluesy and wonderful. I bought an l.p the next day wich I still play and enjoy.

So happy I came across this. Always hoped someone would post a video of this amazing man. And now, to hear from his beautiful daughter DeDe. I saw him a twice at the Colonial Tavern on Yonge Street, Toronto in 1969 and 1970. Once he played with John Lee Hooker and the other time, Big Mama Thornton, I believe. Great times! RIP Luther!
