Steve Williams: Ditto that 1000%. However, I don't get nor understand what was wrong w/the audience. Other than clapping, they gave Luther nothing to work with energy wise. Had, I had the privilege of being there, security would of escorted me out. I was gonna get up & really start the party & once I got started there would of been "no stopping me now." RIH Luther. Love & miss you. See you on the other side.

One of the many things I love about this is that Luther's arrangement stayed true to the original McFadden & Whitehead - he just put his own magic touch on it and in my opinion made it even better, and this is on of my all-time favorite classic disco singles. And man, what an arrangement and production! Never get tired of that voice - one of my three-all time favorite male pop vocalists.

This gentleman was a gift. When I heard he suffered a stroke then subsequently passed on I was crushed. So sad. But we have this, a performance recorded for all perpetuity. I love his music. A voice so incredibly flawless. Amazing.

What a tragic loss it was when Luther Vandross died. So much incredible talent gone just like that! I'm glad we can still enjoy his body of work from years ago, but still. If he hadn't passed away, I can only imagine how amazing his new material would be.

I had no idea this was his song. A radio presenter was using it as his intro song. Such an amazing artist indeed. So much talent, great lyrics and melody too. Wow. What can we say. MHSRIEP

@@paulkasengele1159 Well this isn't actually his song originally. The original is by McFadden & Whitehead, which is a disco song from the late 70's. This is Luther Vandross' cover version done in 1995. I've heard both versions and prefer this one over the original.

Although I got in touch with the art by Luther Vandross in the early 90ties (or even earlier), I am only now in my mid 40ties discovering him, binge-watching his performances on KZbin. Besides his undisputable, fantastic singing, he seems to have been a very kind person. His crew always seems to really enjoy working and performing with him. Am I right?
