LUTs Made Easy - Kdenlive Tutorial

Adding luts to kden live, not clear. Can you please tell how how do i actually do it? I can't get it from the video. After downloading the luts and extracting them, do I have to copy them and paste in kden live folder that's inside Program folder? Or, how do i do it? What am i missing?

After downloading and extracting, you can move the LUTs to the Kdenlive luts folder inside the Programs folder, create the luts folder if it doesn't already exist. See 2:24 to learn how to make linked files instead. The paths to the luts folder is available in the description of the video. Keep on rocking!

thanks. I'll have to rewatch this to pick up how to decrease the intensity of an applied LUT... that's a really neat trick... i imagine it can be used on other effects too?

You're welcome! Yes, you can sandwich other effects and use curves, set to alpha, and decrease their intensity.

So in Kdenlive I went to download new effects and selected LM Basic- LUT by nuxtux and it said 85 downloads but cant find where it put the 85 luts help please?

No I did what you did click on all custom effect star nothing there ?

redid it and yes have them now in templates but just a few not 85 ? Maybe 6 only

85 downloads is referring to how many times it's been downloaded. These custom effects don't include LUTs. You can download additional LUTs using the links in the description.
