Luxe Ryder Clam Shell 2 Bike Motorcycle Trailer

Purpose? To reveal features of a Clam-Shell motorcycle Trailer
Reason? Most have NEVER "heard of" a Clam-Shell trailer, let alone knowing that more than one manufacturer of this style trailer has been around for the past 30 years, possibly more.
Video: Taken in my driveway is of a 2003 year trailer designed/made by a gent named "Bob" (I do have his last name) that from mid 1990's to 2004 had created what would now be a $12 to $18,000 trailer with the features it had.
1) Clam-Shell opens up halfway thru the body for easier access
2) Front hidden compartment "inside" the nose of the trailer houses a spare tire, 12v battery, Firestone air compressor and a jack for the tongue
3) Heavy steel tube frame for the main base frame but thick fiberglass upper/lower shell halves
4) Air shock assist for the upper lid with safety pin clips "in case" to prevent collapse in up position whether unloading/loading or maintenance.
5) Firestone air bags over the axle to provide vertical lift/drop for loading.
6) Drop tail gate.
7) Aerodynamic
8) Stylish even 20 years after creation.
The trailer has heavier tongue weight but the electric jack easily lifts for install on your vehicle.
Rear drop down door has a better locking latch than it's competitors at the time and debatable for still doing so.
9) Interior dome light but the jack also has LED lights if working in the battery area.
Having owned (3) Luxe-Ryder Trailers in the past, I have hauled (2) large motorcycles in this to/from Sturgis for example.
10) Interior dimensions approx: W x L = 72" W x 120" L
11) Interior Height with lid up? 74-76"
12) Doorway entrance when Lid is up? 68"
A sleek trailer always garnishes looks and questions.
Although 21 years old, the underside of the frame/plywood is as if it were 1 year old instead.
A nice trailer for someone wanting a low profile, easy to haul 2 bike (or mower) trailer for long or short trips.
