Let me try to explain, why the Luxembourgish Song Contest Songs sound a bit weird: Luxembourg has no big music industry, but a small and great scene, that sounds nothing like those songs. There are a few great musicians and bands, that simply don't fit eurovision or don't want to participate. There is an avid hip hop scene with people like "De Läb", "Turnup Tun" and "Maz Universe". You can visit great indie/alternative concerts with bands like "In The Atlas" and "Seed to Tree". "Francis of Delirium", "Tuys" and "C'est Karma" also always deliver some real bops. But as I said, those people either don't want to participate or don't fit eurovision. A eurovision-ish pop scene doesn't really exist, that's why RTL sends singers to writing camps or sends them swedish produced songs. These LSC songs are the results: sounds not polished and nothing like the actual luxembourgish music scene. Let's give Luxembourg a few years at eurovision until the actual music scene gets a chance to participate. PS: I saw Joël Marques and Chaild live on a festival this summer. They were 1.000 times better than with their LSC songs on the LSC stage.
