I Built a Warm and Waterproof Dugout Shelter in 20 Days, Craft Skills-Part 4

Hello everyone!
In this video, you will see how I installed windows and doors on my dugout. You will learn some of the simple craft skills of woodworking. To seal the joints between the pieces of wood, I decided to use a polyurethane foam because it seemed like the best solution in this case. The windows I install are from an old house that is a hundred years old. You will also see how I restored and installed a very old cast iron stove that I bought next door.
The stove has a high energy value and did its job very well in my dugout. The water I drink at the beginning of the video is from a natural source and is completely safe to drink. The canned food is the beef stew. I prepared linden flower tea and it has a very relaxing effect. The dish you see at the end of the video is a baked potato that I eat with fat and small dried meat.

👍 I talked to a man who walked into the north woods of Maine USA and didn't come back out for 28 years . He survived alone in the wild with only what he had brought, of which was not much . He sadly didn't do well after long , breaking into remote cabins around him for food and small supplies. He did say he had a dugout " kinda " that he lived in . The game Warden was very upset and began hunting him . He is now out of jail and back in the world . He asked me three things ,(were as I was one of the first people he had seen and or spoken to in all those years ) he asked , " is Donald Trump really trying to be president? Do they still make Snickers bars? And is prostitution legal yet ?" I said ," unfortunately I think he already is .... , yes ,and No ! But weed is legal now.." he was a good man that the world pushed way to far over the edge..✌️

Tu dois absolument prévoir une grille arrivée d'air au niveau plancher près du poêle. Ton poêle, comme les conduits chauds doivent respecter un dégagement de 24 pouces de toute surface combustible. Si tu respectes ça, ca t'évitera ainsi de t'asphyxier et de brûler avec ton châlet. Joyeux Noël. Merci de tes vidéos inspirantes.

Just came across your site wow it was like goin bk to my childhood we lived in a caravan 6kids mom dad we worked so hard for farmers we build a fire in the morning ready for around 12pm we put our potatoes in that morning thy were great some tea. Yes! Windows that open! As someone who's lived plenty of places where having a breeze can make all the difference I always get so anxious seeing people just staple plastic over their windows and call it a day. You can find so many old used windows online these days that would be perfect for these kind of builds with some simple maintenance. Glad to see it here.

Also small shelters like this can quickly cause asphyxiation due to too much CO2. In another vid a fellow installed a CO2 alarm in his hid-a-way to be safe. ❤️🙏💕🙏💕

We had something similar on an old property we used to camp in. On really cold days we hung up a thick piece of canvas on the inside of the door to kinda act like an airlock to keep the heat in while we went in and out. Smaller pieces over the windows would help after it got dark for heat retention. Best part was when we didn’t need it they worked as dust covers to keep the furniture nice.

Best work I have seen yet on You tube , Just curious , What kind of weather resistance material do you use ? Wonder how long the material would last ? That is roughly about a 8' X 12' space , correct ? Good skills , Hard work , but very rewarding . Gonna finally have time to build this year hopefully . How long do do think a structure like this would last with out to many repairs ? I only need it to last the rest of my lifetime which is about another 20 years hopefully . Well done brother

Luxon... you make it all look so easy, the engineering for ground water, the framing, your beautiful stove restoration everything was just perfect. Your little dugout reminds me of a true pioneers cabin in the frontiers of America. I REALLY like the little vignettes of the forest and how you segway to different scenes - you have an artists eye. The mist makes everything look so primal and un-touched! I send you and your family a great Yule and best new year!

I've always heard that there is a certain peace found in the quite places. An u my friend seem to have a way of finding them. When their needed the most. Bardzo ciekawy film, oglądając po chwili przyszło mi na myśl Boże zapewnienie zapisane dla naszego pocieszenia zwłaszcza w czasach współczesnych ,w których przyszło nam żyć.-" Pobudują domy i będą w nich mieszkać, zasadzą winnice i będą jeść ich owoce"...( Jzajasza 65: 21- 25). Nie do opisania i opowiedzenia ,pełna zachwytu i radości jest tak urzekające, wspaniałomyślne postanowienie Stwórcy całego uniwersum o tym aby uczynić na ziemi wszystko to co utraciło ongiś w edenie dwojga doskonałych ludzi. Pomyśl tylko - " Każdy będzie siedział ( mieszkał) pod swoją winoroślą i pod swoim drzewem figowym i nikt nie będzie wzbudzał w nich strachu, bo tak powiedział Bóg Zastępòw"- (Micheasza 4:4). Kiedy czytam te słowa za każdym razem po 1. Rozumiem że umacnia mnie w tym sam Autor tej obietnicy. Po 2 każdego dnia jestem coraz bliżej jej spełnienia i po 3 mam pragnienie przekazać tę prawdziwą wieść swemu bliźniemu, co też uczyniłem. Bardzo dziękuję za ciekawy film i życzę dalszych sukcesów w codziennym życiu. Z serca pozdrawiam.
