You have my subscription once you mentioned the Home Assistant integration. I am also looking to do the same thing (have the same Luxpower and Dyness battery combination as you do). Will you be sharing the Integration code?

Thanks for this. That's very helpful. Just another question, you don't use a breaker for the main coming in before the SPD, i've seen other people do. Is it necessary? Im assuming the main breaker in the main db will trip with your current installation so no need for another breaker before SPD? Please let me know if I'm right or wrong here

Before the SPD it goes through the breaker in the old DB and the EL. Please refer to page 369 of www.theforumsa.co.za/documents/SANS10142-1_ED3TC067_SC06_DSS.pdf@@rolovibes

Hi. Can you confirm that your earth leakage is operating correctly when your manual change over is to switch over to eskom, to bypass the inverter? Because with your current wiring, it looks like you are bypassing your earth leakage as well. If I'm correct, the output from your change over must first go to your earth leakage and then to your main DB.

For the change over. Is it ok to use a contactor to automatically do the switching
@murendie3 ай бұрын
The purpose of the change over switch in this setup is to be able to isolate the inverter if it dies and go through eskom. no for switch over. My setup is always running through the inverter

Mine goes for over 16 hours. I have a double door refrigerator, 2 tv's (on at most 2 hours a day), 3 monitors and gaming pc, ps5 and lights. But when there is an outage. I turn off everything except for the lights, tv and refrigerator.
