Every diamond in this video is so beautiful, but what’s MOST beautiful is all of the cherished meanings behind all of your pieces, new and old and everything in between! I love how you kept all of your past rings, and how you still look at them with the fondest memories! Also, it cracked me up when you said your husband always presents to you a ring on his pinky, what a special thing he does that you and him share!

I see 11:11 A.M. and P.M. almost everyday. I will not even be thinking of time, pick up my cell, 11:11, my eyes are pulled to the cable box, 11:11. I see 1:11 many days, too. I say a short prayer. Lovely video, enjoyed it.

This was a special video. I am on my third “upgrade”. I can’t even fit in my original setting, although I do have all 3 rings. I have no qualms about the upgrades either, it’s a testament that we are still together after all these years (35!). My final setting is a canary diamond, not sure why I gravitated to that color, but it has always been on my wishlist. I love it. We too didn’t have a pot to p*ss in and we were older! But it shows how hard work and perseverance in life and marriage work. Love that you have special pieces from your mom. I dread that day (lost my dad 37 years ago). Here’s to continued happy memories of your mom. I see the number 4:44 and 11:11 a lot. I do say a little prayer every time. Enjoy your jewels.

I love that! So true it is a testament to still being together and still being in love and hard work for sure! Your canary diamond sounds so beautiful! I know what you mean, I dread the day I lose my dad. Glad you see your special numbers too. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful jewelry and the stories behind them! I believe your mom is watching over you. My mom died in 2006 and I talk to her too. When I got my wedding set upgraded and picked up the rings from the jeweler (my husband was at work) our wedding song was playing in the store! I had chills and my eyes started tearing up! Our wedding song is "At last" sung by Etta James. I wear some of my moms jewelry and like to think she's happy seeing me wear them. Enjoy your new and vintage pieces and wear them in good health! ❤ 😊

My mom passed unexpectedly at 49 in 1984 when I was 19. She LOVED jewelry (especially diamonds) and always had her jewelry made by the same jeweler. She’d always have pieces made from jewelry that was inherited. So a couple of years after her death I had her wedding set and mothers ring (my brother’s birthstone is diamond and mine is sapphire) made into one piece that could be deconstructed and put back to the original pieces. I was going to wear it as a pendant when my jeweler remembered he’d made a wide gold band for my mom years before out of a gold watch band her dad had given her. He knew I always wore rings so he suggested rather than a pendant, he would mount the piece on the band. I have long fingers so it worked perfectly. My grandmother passed in 1997. Crazy thing happened about a month later. The sapphire fell out of my ring. My grandmother’s diamond fit perfectly. Needless to say, this ring NEVER comes off my finger. The night before I had a surgery that required me to remove all my jewelry, I ended up at the fire station where it took 45 minutes and two blades to remove it. Of all the jewelry I have, this ring is the one piece that I treasure the most. Every time I look at it I smile. I do take it off regularly though. I don’t ever want to have it cut off again. 😂
@LuxPurselove8 күн бұрын
That is so special! I hope you were able to find the sapphire. Those pieces are such wonderful memories of both of them, so sweet.

Gorgeous Melinda, congratulations! My husband and I at 25 years discussed an upgrade (already had added to my original diamond a few years back). Our daughter was in college so we waited until now (approaching 27 years). I did not want to upgrade unless I could afford to keep my original diamond as it is so sentimental to us. We looked at many sets and found something we loved & had something similar made & I am absolutely thrilled with it! My original diamond will be made into a pendant & the other diamonds from the first upgrade will go to my daughter when she wants it or gets engaged.

I love that your jeweler said the bracelet is only yours; I've read online where people design a special piece with a jeweler and the jeweler goes on to make and sell it for other people- without even asking if it's ok. I would be really upset if that happened to me. So kudos to your jeweler for his honesty!
@LuxPurselove6 күн бұрын
I didn't expect it to be only mine at all because he didn't design it for me but it is so special it is. I can see if you sat down and designed something that would not make someone happy to see it being sold again. He is great!

So funny! My first ring was round brilliant in 1.01 carats with .50 channel set princess stones in white gold. The band was 1.00 carats of princess chanel set to match. We ended up upgrading to a 1.75 centre stone years later. The third upgrade was an elongated cushion cut in 2.27 carats. It didn’t match my setting because it was too big for the channel set diamonds so we began to look for another setting. We looked at many at our jewellers & he came to our house with a few options. When I saw the one I picked I got teary eyed, I knew it was the one. But like your hubby said it’s a very large ring without an actual band. Centre stone the 2.27 cushion, down the centre of the band is 1.5 carats of baguette diamonds & on each side of those are channel set princess cut diamonds of 2.5 carats. It’s so unique I’ve never seen another ring close to it. All in all it’s 6.27 total carat weight. I love it and will never change it again. My old setting we set a sapphire in it and soldered the two rings together. Your Mother’s ring is beautiful, and so special.

Seeing your first wedding set was a lot like my first one. We were young and couldn’t afford much, so I had a 1/2 carat marquis diamond with a VERY visible flaw in it! I had a wrap of v-shaped diamonds and it made it look amazing…if you didn’t look too close, lol. After the years for our 10 year anniversary we upgraded my ring to a 3 stone anniversary band (emerald cut stones with princess cut on both sides) and a matching diamond band. I did trade in my original set though and I regret it. I wasn’t supposed to be able to have children and god blessed me with 2, so I wish I had it to pass onto my daughter. We’ve been married now for 29 years and I want to look and see if there would be anything that would catch my eye in upgrading it for our 30th anniversary, or make a memory and take an amazing trip somewhere. I need to get my husband outside of the states for the first time and Italy is our place of choice. I absolutely love your bracelet and it is a special “one of a kind for you”. ❤
@LuxPurselove7 күн бұрын
What a beautiful story! Go for Italy, you can always do the ring on an odd anniversary like we did. You will talk about that trip for a lifetime and you can still enjoy the ring later. :) Thank you!
