The most memorable place I have seen in videos of Japan. A truly romantic hideaway and such a shame you were on your own .. felt for you sadly. You have captured the pure essence of Medieval style Japan with captivating shots of everything in site. Remember if you play with fire .. you can get burnt ..lol. Thank you for sharing this epic adventure. Bushyboy Oz.

This was a very interesting segment. I don't think it is something I'd want to do on my vacation but I did find it interesting. I found it funny how "Hotel California" was playing in the background during breakfast lol. I think it must be very fun for the owner to meet and be up close and personal with his guests. You did good at chopping wood. I loved the outdoor bath, too bad it never warmed up enough.
@rachaelk7866

I wondered how long she left it to boil the water though as wood heated ones often take up to an hr plus you have to keep it red hot the wood like literally keep loading it till hot then you let it get to embers ( same theory when you have a western type fireplace with a wetback -- which is a pipe that heats hot water from the fireplace but ya have to keep it on and stoked hot not just 20 mins or so .. and keep adding wood .. maybe the innkeeper needed to be there at the fireplace for an hr or her sitting next to it) hence why bathwater was just like warm prob not on long enough or kept red hot stoked
