Australian homes are beyond reach for many kids today, prices are so outrageous. Socialists/ communists have taken over our country through corporations. The river house is perfect with its natural light that streams in. If you live in the tropics you appreciate the depth of colour as it gets extremely hot and this cools you down and is easier on your eyes. I live in the tropics.

We often have to shoot villas between holidaymakers checking in and out, so often don't have access to them in the evenings, but we will try and shoot up more evening shoots to capture some of Bali's amazing sunsets.

Hi Ardy, this is locally produced sandstone. Bali has many dark volcanic sand beaches so its common to find all sorts of volcanic stone tiles in villas across the island

Thanks for your input. Yes most of the materials are locally sourced. The stone tiles are paras kerobokan from Bali. I see what you mean about lacking Bali design, but this was the request and style of the owner who is very happy with it. Thanks 🙏

This is stunning modern house with many plants surrounded but I prefer the decorations used From local art / Bali decoration because if I stay in Bali , I want to feel that I’m actually in Bali , not in California luxury homes . They just need Bali touch and wood floor usually I found it in western country , in Indonesia , mostly they used concrete , ceramic or marble , wood for treehouse . Overall , this is gorgeous home in California ( you know what I mean ).

I love the wood, glass and stone walls. However, with the same walls throughout, it becomes monotonous and cold, especially in the bedrooms. Also, the hallways are rather tight. So, in spite of all the light and big windows, it has a prison feel to it.

Agreed, I didn't feel like I would enjoy that style. I guess its all personal preference but I don't undersrand how modern always seems to lack that coziness factor. I felt like it looked like a modern library, all straight edges and very few curves.
