you can use glue to align and use needle and thread to secure the design. Make sure you are careful with the glue to avoid a mess on your outfit

In Kenya I see the necklace makers use that very long needles. But for sewing.....let me see how you do it I don't think it's ideal. Let's go back to our usual needles for clothes
