Some tips for better fritters: 1) baking powder to give them a fluffy texture. 2) baking is fine, but they'll turn out like weird pancakes. Fry them. Either deep fry or shallow pan fry in oil. The word fritter means "fried." 3) smaller pieces of apples. They will cook better and get soft and caramelized in the batter. 4) slightly thicker batter. Think lumpy oatmeal consistency. Bonus points if you use buttermilk or apple cider as the liquid instead of water or milk. Thank me later. Keep the used frying oil to grease pans or use as firestarter.

If you're looking to get away for a couple of days, this is the place to be. Finding a site as amazing as this one is key, and let me tell you, it's worth the search. Before I joined the military, I was a big fan of camping. I even camped in the Alps with my dad, who was in the Army. It was such an adventure - taking a train, buying food, and then camping out with a group of ten. In all my twenty years in the Army, I've never seen a set-up like this. Hey, there’s Millie and she loves this! Thanks for showing the viewers the importance of taking care of the trees by using starter wood from a store and fallen branches. Hey Trent, it’s Chris. If I were cooking that steak, I’d throw it over the fire with just salt, pepper, and a splash of Worcestershire sauce. Depending on the thickness, aim for about 3-6 minutes on each side. Let it marinate in the seasoning for at least 30 minutes at room temperature. I’d also suggest trying a different cut, like ribeye or skirt steak. If you go with skirt, you can whip up an awesome chimichurri. I can send you some recipes if you’re interested! Also, you might want to check out foldable grills that can sit over campfires for cooking. And consider using smoking woods like oak, hickory, or pecan. For red meat, I recommend oak; for pork, hickory works great. You can experiment from there. But you did a great job cooking that steak! I just wanted to give you another option that trust me will blow your mind! :) You know I’m a big fan-keep it up! Funny coincidence, I actually have that Anker 3800 power unit too. ;)

DO NOT COOK IN YOUR TENT.!!!!!!...Cooking and storing food in your tent is a really dangerous way to invite animals to rip into your tent and cause havoc.. and in Bear country you are taking your life in your hands... Cooking and sleeping areas should always be kept far apart... even hours after you cook or eat, the scent of food will be inside your tent.. Your food should always be stored outside and away from your tent while you are sleeping.. Either use a bear canister or hang your food in a food sack to keep animals from getting into it..
