You know, I would probably never buy another watch over $1000. It just isn't necessary. There is a whole lot of watches out there that pack one heck of a punch for your money. This proves it perfectly. Really nice piece this!

I have a Venezianico Redentore Enigma in green dial. I always wanted a regulator complication watch for my collection, but the good ones were so expensive. For the price this one is so well made and I even ordered it with the additional bracelet. It's beautiful to look at and I love wearing it. My next one from them was going to be the Avventurina dial but this dive watch maybe the better choice.

That's a really artful use of materials with a very cool design language. Nice choice of movement too. It's really cool to be able to get a quality microbrand that you can put in a watch box next to a luxury brand watch and know that it will still draw you to put it on your wrist.

Thanks for an excellent review. Apart from Islander, I stopped buying micro brands a few years ago due to a lack of long-term support; but this one has really caught my attention. I hope they add a Canadian AD at some point.

Very welcome, thank you for watching. I was a bit skeptical about them prior to reviewing this watch. As there's a lot of 'Italian' microbrands that are about as Italian as a frozen pineapple pizza 😆 But, I was pleasantly surprised to learn more about them. At least for now, they're doing things properly

I'm going to be a bit of a nerd here- but tungsten is actually a metal. A hard one, but s metal nonetheless... With that out of the way, I really like this one. Possibly the best looking Venezianico yet- and they have already made a fair few of stunners!

Fair enough. I did a bit of reading on Tungsten when putting the video together, as I didn't know much about it. So the information I read must've been wrong. Appreciate the knowledge

Good review. Beautiful piece. I am also very fond of tungsten. I don't understand why it isn't used more often. I also like that beautiful deal. I am a wine broker. Presently I am in Austria. My next stop is Florence. I earned my Level 3 Sommelier in this beautiful city. Anyway they have a lot of watch shops and I will definitely pick up this awesome timepiece. 🍷

Great video. The Venezianico watch isn't my cup of tea but you did a great job at showcasing it fairly. Personally I'd rather have a slimmer Miyota 9000 than a Sellita - I have several of both and I've never noticed extra noise from the 9000s. Plus the Miyota is a much more modern design - the Sellita's DNA can be traced back to the 50s with minimal changes. Re watches over $1000 you're right. The only reasons to pay over $1000 are: 1. Complications - triple calendar, moonphase, retrograde etc 2. Previous metal cases
@TopTierTicker11 ай бұрын
I love both the 9000 and the SW200. Both are fantastic movements for this price range. I find the SW200 slighty quieter on wrist, but it's negligible. Both are fantastic choices. With the 9000 being a more popular choice, I suppose it's the rarity of seeing it which makes it more appealing? I agree. Complications and precious metals are the main benefits of the higher price!

Not my kind of watch (too glitzy) but I can appreciate the design and materials. Talking of materials, tungsten is a metal but if the bezel is tungsten carbide then it is a ceramic material, as you said.

Just to remind that pretended "dive style" bracelets are a scam. Not only professional divers dont use watches any more (they use dive computers), but the very few watches used for diving by some nostalgic, and all the dive computers, are secured WITH STRAPS, identical to the rubber ones Venezianico includes in the packages of its dive watches. It doesn't exist a dive bracelet. Every bracelet makes a dive watch a dress watch. BTW, since the links of the bracelet are 7.5mm long, you have exactly the same possibility to find a perfect fit than with the strap, whose holes are 7-7.5 mm distant, like in almost any strap.
@TopTierTicker9 ай бұрын
It's not necessarily about the diving functionality. More so about the weight to comfort ratio. Bracelets slide on the wrist, so a more perfect fit is required. Rubber straps grip the wrist, so it's okay for it to be a bit loose. I get the logic, but it doesn't work out like that in reality
@neutronalchemist32419 ай бұрын
@@TopTierTicker Nylon straps slide like metal bracelets and, being virtually weightless, they are more subject to the inertia of the watch, but they still have 7-7.5mm distance between the holes (and I find NATO and Zulu straps much more comfortable than rubber and leather ones).
@TopTierTicker9 ай бұрын
Why are we talking about natos and leathers? The whole comparison was rubber vs steel. Rubber Straps do not slide around the wrist. I think trying to excuse a lack of micro-adjustment because 'it's like a strap' is poor form. Bracelets needs micro-adjustment holes.
@neutronalchemist32419 ай бұрын
@@TopTierTicker Why the comparison should be limited to rubber vs. steel? If you prefer your watch to have micro adjustment, ok, your choice. But "bracelets without micro adjustment are a big no on dive watches" is bullshit sorry. First because dive watches don't use bracelets. Second, because what they use, doesn't micro adjust. And yes, sometimes what they use are nylon straps. And NATO straps in particular had been really used for professional diving. it's not surprising, since that strap did born to secure real tool watches. 20 years ago, when dive computers were still not that universally diffused, they were almost the de-facto choice. In general, I've never heard a strap, regardless the material, criticized because "it can't be adjusted". Even metallic mail straps.

@TopTierTicker11 ай бұрын
I mean... I disagree. But, so does a nomos. Doesn't mean that it is 😆 A fashion watch wouldn't dare use a Sellita SW200 🤣
@MarioLJFerreira5 ай бұрын
I mean if you mean as a "fashionable" watch, then I feel like when you get into luxury watch markets, every watch should be fashionable, why would you make an ugly watch? Then again I know you mean like the watches on the likes of Hugo Boss, Timberland, etc. In that case you couldn't be further from being wrong... Most fashion watch brands in the sense that you are describing, use premade molds and just slap on a logo or most of the times they don't do that, they also still just almost flat out rip off the design of a popular watch model and slap their logo. This most definitely isn't what Venezianico is doing, and definitely not when they use a Sellita SW200 movement or their more recent SOPROD movements.

Was this lost in script rewrites, or do you genuinely think that tungsten is not a metal and is instead close to ceramics?
@TopTierTicker11 ай бұрын
Its a mixup when researching things for the video. Someone has pointed out that it's tungsten carbide that's in the ceramic family and not tungsten. It's just a bit of confusion when making the video. I'm not an engineer 😆
@vaclav_fejt11 ай бұрын
@@TopTierTicker Alright (y) Tungsten carbide is this super hard compound that's used for coating machine tools. I've been taught it as being separate from other ceramics (it's certainly no pottery), but I'm no ceramics expert. I like metals, they're less complicated.
