It's sheep skin leather. Bottega may use nappa/ lamb skin. As someone that used to work in high end luxury retail I have seen the wholesale prices of designer items. Trust when I tell you there isn't much of a difference in the cost of materials to justify the markup- and most of the leathers are done in the same tanneries and shipped off to the same factories for assembly. The suede bucket bag that i recently purchased from them is comparable to my suede Ferragamo and Fendi bags. Most of what you are paying for is the experience. The prices on Quince are close to the wholesale prices of many designer brands during the period I spent working in the industry. There was never less than a 300% markup. Obviously, depending on the brand the markup would be higher. I said all of that to say, though Quince doesn't have resale value, because they don't really have a cult community...you get luxury quality goods that last without the markup. So the question is if you want to turn a profit on resale or do you want to take those savings and use them elsewhere while still getting a luxury quality leather?

Yes it was buttery soft. I would say the construction is definitely not nearly as good as Bottega but for 150 bucks? I can't complain. Yes the mark up on these luxury items are astronomical but then again, i get it. There are a lot of people to pay with big companies. You're absolutely right. Zero resale value but if you do the math, the amount you pay for big luxury, cost per wear, then what capital you can get back from the bag...it's questionable at best lol

I have loved everything I have ordered from Quince. This year I bought a long single button long Italian wool coat in navy. I sew garment, so I KNOW good quality, and this coat is immaculate in all the tailoring details, and fit.

Some people think it looks good, some people think it doesn't look good, some people think it's worth it, and some people think it's not worth it. These are all very subjective things, and there is no right or wrong. The important thing is to buy according to one's actual consumption ability, rather than blindly following. I have two cashmere sweaters (and the cashmere comb for keeping the cashmere in good shape), plus a pair of black dress slacks and a gold packable light down jacket. All are beautiful and classy. Shipping to me takes about a week or less in Colorado. They DO have ‘insider’ sales if you’re a customer. They list the material used (handbags are mostly Italian Leather) and the responsible sourcing. Fair pay to workers!

I’ve been buying from quince for a couple of years now. I’ve ordered everything from kids clothing to luggage and rugs, and overall, I feel it’s excellent quality for the price. The luggage in terms of quality is on par with some luxury brands, but much more affordable. I prefer jcrew’s linen but quince’s silk and cashmere have worked for me. I love their silk pjs also. Their workout clothes have been so durable. Ihave that same sweater in a few colors and I absolutely love it also. My rug is 100% wool and was under$1k! I constantly get compliments on it.

I've purchases three of the woven cresent bags (black, cognac and taupe). I also ordered matching wallets and the triple compartment small tote. All four have held up great. So have the wallets. I have used them multiple times for the past 6 months and I'd say the quality is very good. I also ordered three of the zip up hoodies and was very pleased with the quality of those as well. Two years ago, I bought a pair of black pants I just remembered, and they were also very good. I've always had good luck and will continue to purchase from them.

I have had the absolute best experience with Quince. I've purchased 4 dresses, 3 purses, and 2 pair of pants. The quality on each item has been fantastic and i have been so happy with each purchase. Granted I've only been purchasing from them in the past year, so maybe they have improved over time.

If a duplicate is just as good as an authentic to pass an authentication test, at a tenth of the value......thats the problem. Thats why the market exists. 1-1 replicas are the real investment bags, you get the quality and same materials, for a 10th of the price, but it passes the tests

I bought my first bag from Quince earlier this year (woven leather crossbody) during a flash sale. I really like it but honestly, I’m glad it was on sale. I definitely want to try their cashmere and silk and sheets. I recommend being an email subscriber so you get notified of any flash sales.

I was very skeptical of Quince, but finally took the plunge last March. And, despite my skepticism, I am in love with everything I bought. I ordered 4 items - the trench coat, a long sleeve silk blouse, the cap sleeve dress, and the long sleeve crew neck cashmere sweater. Like you, my 4 items came in 3 separate orders. I was worried about "see through" on the sweater since I ordered it in a very pale pink, but, happily, there was none. Thus far, all items are holding up beautifully. I am about to order a pair of shoes, a piece of jewelry, and a travel item, so will be exploring other lines shortly. I have been sorely tempted by several bags (including the exact Adiamo lookalike you showed) but thus far have not succumbed. Saving up for an FLP spree in Paris in a few months - trying to stay strong. 😁

I love all of my quince, cashmere, cotton, linen, Ponte knit … wanting to try the washable silk but haven’t yet. I’ve had very good luck with quince. Affordable and good quality. When I have had to return anything, which isn’t often, it was easy.

I am wearing the quince 100% organic cotton gauze peasant blouse now, I have it in blue and also white, works as a cover up too! I love their clothing! I have quite a few cashmere sweaters, linen drawstring pants, silk blouses and my number one most used item, the tencil jersey fit and flare dress is the most flattering and versatile dress I own! The color is gorgeous and thick material with pockets! I have worn it 5 times already since i purchased in may! Very flattering even when i was 10 lbs heavier, somehow this hides my tummy!

Yes, Lululemon's zipups have the same thumbhole and hand coverups too :) I bought that same Moss-green sweater and a Faded Seagrass-colored long silk skirt from Quince and I like them both a lot. Those two colors together create a beautiful look for Fall. And I agree, the longer skirt would look better on you, but I would suggest getting a size up, so it's not so tight-fitting on the hips (I have that issue with my regular size Small). I recently also ordered their new dressier pants (bigger flare) looking forward to seeing them!

My first purchase from Quince was Tencel jersey dresses for spring this year. I loved the fit and stretchy comfort and immediately ordered a bunch more colors. They are still comfy, but after a few washes and turning them inside out I notice stains that have not washed out easily on the cold water gentle cycles of the washing machine, and some stitches in the jersey dresses are not as neat as they could be. The cotton knit cardigans I got from them have held up super well. My overall thought is that the garments are constructed about as well or a little better than the Target level of clothing, not the highest quality, but generally acceptable to me considering the price; however, the materials used feel really luxurious to me. I love their cashmere and their silk. I also wear their ponte knit pants. Recently I ordered a pair of loafers from Quince and am looking forward to picking them up this weekend from the P.O. box. Have not, and probably will not, order any handbags from them. There are far too many interesting and more elevated Indie bag styles to try, and I just cannot get excited about a brand only offering dupe bags. The only way I see for myself to order a bag from Quince is if they offer a color that I cannot find from another brand under $500. I really love having my purse as the pop of color when I wear neutrals.

I completely agree for the price you are paying. Is it Max Mara quality? No. I dont think they are trying to be. There are plenty of way more expensive clothing out there that is of the same quality as Quince or lower. Honestly, I do agree with you about the bags. I definitely ordered these just to check out the quality. IF my mom wants the bottega dupe because she's too nervous about carrying expensive bags but of course it's hers. You know I focus on indie brands with innovative designs so I don't think I will be order anymore bags from them.

All of my Quince stuff has held up. Have several cashmere sweaters and a wrap and all are great. Have cotton sweaters and they have also held up. Have the JCrew sweater jacket dupe and, quite frankly, its better than the Crew one. Have the silk maxi dress which is great. Silk pajamas, a button down silk shirt and silk t-shirt….all are great. All have held up and have washed well. I DO wash the cashmere and silk by hand. I agree 100% on the light colored sweaters being completely see through so maybe stick with the darker colors? The grays are NOT see through, nor the olive or black. The camel colored cashmere one is NOT see through but the same colored cotton v neck IS. Appreciate the review. Influenced me to get the boat neck!

I started with them when I bought the Chambray Linen Bedding bundle and I love it! Just make sure to wash it in cold water. This week I ventured into a pair of chubby silver hoops and the new oversized cashmere crew sweater ( which is definitely not thin and so soft) and Loved both; I was so surprised because I was hesitant because of the price. I want to try the cashmere zip hoodies next! The oversized crew and the hoodies are $99.

It's truly a hit or miss with Quince, mostly a miss tbh. The only items that have worked for me are the cotton t shirts, not trying anything else anymore (all other items have been a flop, both in quality and fit).

The metal holes on the bag are grommets, not rivets. Good video. I've been seeing so many online ads and social media posts about Quince. I finally broke down and made 2 orders, mostly linen items. The quality and design are superb.

It’s hit or miss for me with Quince. I have returned more than I have kept, but what I have kept I enjoy. The T-Shirt cashmere sweater fits tighter than most of their sweaters, but I love the boatneck sweater (I have the same one as you). Their shipping takes a while and is a bit hard to track sometimes. I also have an all saints leather jacket that I need to let go of for the same reasons as you 😂

I have sewn with and wear good quality (real) 100% silk. I can absolutely be gently handwashed. Block it to dry and iron on silk setting before it is totally dry. It comes out crisp and lovely!

I love Quince. Everything I have bought from them has been good quality. PS I bought a washable silk top from them. It washes well. Needs to be steamed after drying. I line dried it. It is gorgeous. I have two bags from them, a cresent shaped one and one that is similar to the YSL Sunset bag. l have bought linen sheets, table cloth, Mongolian cashmere sweater (it does pill), and 2 organic cotton fishermen sweaters. LOVE them all with the exception of the YSL dupe. It didn't seem as quality as the first bag I bought. Is pretty and will be good for day use, at that price I don't care if it gets beat up.

Nothing I've had from them has held up. The quality is horrible!! My daughter's down coat fell apart in 4 months. That should not happen! I've stopped buying from them bc the quality is not there.

Cashmere tee Camel color that I just got from Quince isn’t see through at all. It is probably just white tee that is little see though.

I purchased 2 silk blouses, 2 cashmere sweaters, and 1 silk dress. The key to this brand is washing instructions - which they email you ahead of the package arriving. Everything fits great, and I'm pleased with all my items. I am curious about the linens, so if you buy another haul, grab some bedding sets.

I got a cashmere sweater from Quince. It was pretty good for the price, but price aside, I was not super impressed. It was okay, reasonably soft, at $50 I couldn't complain. But it was so thin and a tiny bit itchy. Compared to the poncho I ordered from Strathberry. Granted, the poncho was about 7x the cost, but the difference in quality was huge. Also, as a poncho it should be a thicker than the sweater, but it was SO much thicker, so soft, so plush.

Yup I think the saying you get what you pay for holds true here. There are luxury brands out there that has the same quality but with 5-10x the price. So just gotta assess once you receive the pieces.

I want quince to start selling 22mom and denser silk skirt ad dress options, then call it luxury. Yes I buy their 19mom maxi skirts and maxi dresses and wear them but it’s 19mom, it’s not luxury, it’s too thin to be luxury. It’s silk basics and silk basics priced right. They WILL snag and pill easily because it’s 19mom, again yes it’s washable but for daily wear it’s too thin. And I live in Miami saying this, we need 22mom and above for proper daily silk. The LikySilk new silk skirt is 22mom at $189 and it’s worth the purchase for daily wear for a beige skirt. While I have the quince white maxi skirt it’s not fancy, it’s too thin to be fancy and I wear one of their silk maxi dresses as a night gown, another one as my house dress and third with a cover up for going out but I wouldn’t wear them as an evening gown. They’ve got to be paired with other things because they’re thin. Okay over. Quince can level up their silk game by creating additional choices at purchasing window for me to click to get this dress or skirt in 22, 28, 35, 45 mom density and then it would be my favorite website on earth to shop. Nobody has that option

I am still waiting on the rest of my order after 4 weeks. Further, should you want to return something you can either choose credit or your Cc card being credited. The problem is your CC card will not be credited for 3-4 weeks, yes weeks. For this reason after I get the rest of my order, I will probably not order again. I have a credit on my account almost $100.00 and it is never clear how to apply it to your purchase. Yes, all my orders items come separately.

Wow that's a long time! I wonder if it has to do with your location? But regardless, it still should not take that long. I made a return of the items that did not work. I got my refund on my card pretty much a day or two after they received the items back. I wonder why the big discrepancy in customer experience. Sorry to hear that

I bought a cream cashmere tee shirt form Quince and I thought it was rather thin. I probably won't buy cashmere from them again. I would rather pay more and get a thicker knit.

that's unfortunately. The cuts varies by company for ex. Jcrew's cut fit really well on me, H&M fits terrible. So it really just depends. I'm a big girl so i guess Quince worked well for me. Thanks for sharing!

Years ago when I worked for GAP they would take anything back with or without a receipt. Most people had no idea that was a policy and at my store it certainly wasn’t an Issue. I’m curious as a consumer why you have such a problem with Quinces return policy? I’ve been purchasing from them for four years before anyone barely heard of them. Why do you hide your face?
