Awesome set up. I've never seen a front kitchen. My uncle bought a 5th wheel with a front top living room. That was awesome.
@Yukikazehalo4 жыл бұрын
Front kitchens are well balanced because they put the big heavy appliances up front but usually compromise with a smaller bedroom and bathroom in the back. I prefer rear kitchens since you still have a normal bedroom up front and the elevated rear kitchen usually has a big "basement" storage area underneath. Front living room models are great for entertaining large groups of people but have the same rear bedroom limitations.

I love this unit and the Riverstone is a strong contender for our next toy hauler. My only complaint regarding this floorplan is the lack of a patio. FR needs to seriously consider putting in a side patio right behind the slideout which can be accessed from the bedroom. Side patios have become a necessity for us now that we've had one. But no patio at all is a deal breaker.

I am curious as to why they never offer independent suspension. And also with 3 axle is make it hard to turn. So the last axle should be able to raise up of the ground when we are turning or parking the unit. Or even better make the third axle on a pivot where is turns on its on. 3 axle eats up tires.

Will the roof unload a 54" snow load? Can the tip out covers withstand snow and can they slide off snow loads? What is the wind loading of the tip out tarps? Is there an "Arctic" package? This is the umpteenth video I've seen of riverstone units that appear as though the recliner closest to the couch, doesnt have space enough to open. Is that the case with this one as well because it sure looks that way. My bf and I are considering one, but there are none in our area to tour in person. I spend alot of time in my recliner and would be uglier than a 2 headed bear if it didnt open. Thanks for the info and other than that concern, I'm super impressed with the changes jayco has made to its luxury units. We would be full timing and the warranty is the best we've seen. Thanks for the awesome videos!

The kitchen is pretty nice, but the bedroom being part of the garage makes it impractical. I'd get a regular toy hauler if I had any real amount of things to store. Certainly couldn't haul a mini cooper or smart car. Would like to see if the bathroom is available when the slides come in.

@lynnpappas40494 жыл бұрын
I have to agree windows next to the bed are a great addition when your a person who likes cross ventilation. But, since this has the toy hauler under the bed it sort of makes it impossible for the windows. I know, bummer. But you have to admit it is a great looking rig.

Hi. My husband and I just saw this video and like the rig or one similar to it. We really like the lighter/white cabinetry. However, this is nice. We would like to know how much a unit like this costs, please. Thank you.
@allaboutrv4 жыл бұрын
Hi Misa Rain. Back when I did this video this one sold for $110,288 the way it was setup. The factory has updated/changed this model and it's now called a 42FSKG as they changed up the kitchen layout some by moving the Sink/Dishwasher/Oven all around. As soon as I get one in I'll be doing an updated video of the new version. They also have started offering White Cabinets in the Riverstone Line up so you will start to see them coming soon to. They also have a front living room version of the Riverstone Toy hauler to if you haven't seen that yet. Forestriver also makes a Front Living Room version in their Cedar Creek brand they sell at Couch's RV Nation to but it does not offer white cabinets. The Cedar Creek version however does cost less.

One thing I really dislike are windows in the kitchen, especially the stove area. No house has a window over stove, that’s were spice racks or pot and pan storage are needed. In a stationary home windows are usually over sink but that is really not needed in a camper where you all usually go in at same time and leave at same time. Just poor thought process. Everyone I talk to say they never thought about that. It’s true campers are usually full of natural light yet have automatic shades which are usually pulled. In camp grounds or parks my shades are pulled tight. Rarely or actually never have I really wanted or needed any windows except at door. Camera’s take care of that now!......

I would have rather had the sink under the window on the microwave side. When I'm in the kitchen, I'm always using the sink....so not having those covers on is a huge waste of counter/prep space.

I never understood why they put the heat duct in front of the shower. I think that is one design flawl in a few RV manufactures. Why can't they place it behind the toilet (or any place other then in front of the shower)to avoid water getting in the duct work? It still is a beautiful RV. I would buy it if i could afford it.

If you are disabled or older you can't use all the steps being built in to all these newer units. If you are in the kitchen you have to go down 3 steps and then up 3 steps to use the bathroom. Think of this if you have a 2 year old.
@lynnpappas40494 жыл бұрын
I'm older, (72) and am looking to purchase a Riverstone 39RKFB in the spring. And actually I look at going up stairs as great exercise. Unfortunately with a lot of the older generation they become too sedentary in their ways, and actually cause more problems for themselves because of a lack of exercise. I've learned, the more you do the better you feel. And as for those steps and two year olds. My granddaughter used spring loaded gates to keep my great granddaughter from going where she shouldn't go. It works, on both counts. Be blessed.

You never show the trailer interior when it is closed up. It makes it hard for us to determine what bathroom access is available, in travel mode. Access to bedroom etc..
@ohjoy404 жыл бұрын
just looking at the slide outs, with them in you would not be able to get into the kitchen and refrigerator. The living room with both couches slide in would not be able to get the bathroom or bedroom. So yes looks like some issues with this floor plan

Love this floorplan! Best one I've seen on a 5th wheel TH. The problem for me is the garage is too small for my 2 touring bikes. I need at least 8 ft wide. Anything like this on the market with a 10x8 garage?
@bettylynkrafft28374 жыл бұрын
you would be very hard pessed to find one. The oversixe load rules for NC state that you would need a perit if the total width exceeds 8'6". In order to have a 8' garage you would have to have three inch wide walls, which is bascially impossible.
