Today we were invited to have a peek at a beautiful 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom mansion house for sale in Covilhã, Central Portugal. Situated right on the doorstep of the Serra da Estrela mountains, and only a couple of hours away from both Porto and Lisbon airports. This fabulous property boasts 1 hectare of landscaped gardens with mature trees, which borders a stream, has a large pond and a deep swimming pool.

nice house but the low ceilings on lower ground seemed oppresive to me and not much land for the price they are asking, over priced l feel, but l am sure someone would be happy with it and could make some changes :)

Omg! I need to go gambling in Reno Nevada to get this property! I actually only gamble once a year in March , with my son to celebrate our birthdays after a nice dinner out, but because of covid have not done it the past 2 years. So sad. New subscriber here. Great video Ken! Thanks for sharing. I loved the lower level of the house but thought the balcony was limiting. However, once I saw the garden, I knew it was the sort of property I would buy (although I would prefer to have a bigger farm lot and some more trees. However, as you say, it's a little out of my present budget too. But nevertheless, I watched the whole video and loved it. Looking forward to coming to Portugal in the next year or so to see for myself what the possibilities are there.

so beautiful ! here in portland, a cute 2 beedroom home with one bath and sunroom, nice back yard sold recently for a little over 500,000.00 talk about over priced, this place is spot on for the size and condition and acreage...with a pool and parking to boot! it would make a wonderful Bed and Breakfast ! Sheep are the natural lawn mowers! And they fertilize the yard too. And if someone sheers the wool, it could be used or sold. Could you add if the areas of the houses are in micro climate areas. I would also like know how close neighbors are, how far away from the next town, public transports of any kind available in case for some can't drive. What businesses are in the nearest towns? Since we don't know the address and sometimes don't understand the name of the town when you say it, it is hard to look this stuff up ourselves. Would be great if you could add a map of area showing house and center of next town. If you could put in all videos, would be very very helpful. How is one thing but other surrounding areas are just as importanf.

Yes it’s a nice property but after viewing around 50 properties in this area I cannot see why it is priced soooo high! If the owners were to leave all the the furniture including the tractor then maybe it would be €500k. I was expecting to be blown away but sadly disappointed with this one ☹️👎

Ken it’s doable for anyone who wants a great lifestyle change it would appeal, if I won lotto to my mind portugal is for punters looking for bang for their buck we sort of squeezed out of top end properties in our prospective countries my budget when all cashed up exchange rates etc is way out of this property , having said that it’s lovely to see high end , maintained , and delightful taste in a property the garden specimen trees are not run of the mill conifers, so very special indeed great presentation if I had the bucks id’e be there tomorrow hi Gina lol👍❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏

Given the beautiful Portuguese weather, I am surprised the indoor spaces I have seen here (and elsewhere during visits) do no allow for more light and the layouts seem like labyrinths as you weave your way through the houses. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Normally the houses do not allow more light to keep them cool in summer. Where temperatures can reach 40C and over.
