Kuala lumpur has everything for me. Great shopping malls, kind people, english speaking, fresh food, warm climate all year around, affordable prices. I’m actualy planing to buy an apartment at KLCC area. I’m a European based in Dubai. All the best in 2024 🎉
@ukbulldog2024 Жыл бұрын
Buy in KLCC, In your DREAMS fella. Check with a local realtor to guide you, the capital gains tax when you sell. Not forgetting you will pay Income Tax as you abode is classed a residence for tax purposes. Try MM2H route. Remember Condos deplete your income with high service charges. Selling can be a loss as numerous Condos everywhere in KL/MY.
@borninsoho9710 Жыл бұрын
@@ukbulldog2024 capital gains you only pay when you make a profit on your sales… in most of the countries in the world you do that anyway. Service charges for condos are way less in KL than in London or Dubai…. Yes I agree returns are not so good (2.5% NET to 3% at KLCC) but there might be a capital appreciaton on the long run as KL is still relatively cheap compare to other major global cities…
@borninsoho9710 Жыл бұрын
@@ukbulldog2024 capital gains tax you pay in 95% of the countries anyway… and you’ll only pay it once you sell your property and you making profit on it. Personal income tax you are also paying in most of the countries. Service charge in KLCC projects are way lower than in most of the developments in London or Dubai…. yes currently returns ( ROI) are not the best in KLCC but there mighth be a capital appreciation in the next 5 years..

It is "cheap" relatively due to exchange rate between USD and ringgit. Secondly salary is low in Malaysia compared to western countries. The same cube hotel in Singapore can get a room in Malaysia

both were part of the british overseas colonies around the early 1800s. Both Malaysia and Singapore after gaining independence, maintained many of the systems put in place by the brits.. the system of law, british english and many more. both countries are still part of the British commonwealth today.

@Gymson Жыл бұрын
I stayed in Bangkok for 2 months before KL, i would say its very similar actually. Food may be a bit cheaper in Thailand, but to get this kind of apartments I feel you would need to rent one for one month minimum. In Bangkok its not so convenient to rent apartments for short time, as short term apartments are more expensive.
