Today we took a shuttle from our Hotel in Chiang Rai to the boarder of Laos. Once across the boarder in Huay Xai, we boarded the Mekong Smile Cruise to take us on a journey down the beautiful Mekong River, stopping overnight in Pak Beng before continuing on to Luang Prabang. The luxury Mekong River Cruise would take two days and this vlog is PART 1, so be sure to stick around for PART 2 coming up.
This as easily been one of our favourite rite experiences whilst travelling so far!

This is called progress,, We don't have this kind of luxury boat afew years ago doing this Banana Pancake trail, a few hundred people crams in one boat with all the villagers supply,, Pak Beng really really in the jungle , congrats to Laos tourism doing very good work

Hi Mohamad! Our tour guide said that tourism for Loas is a little quiet at the moment unfortunatley but hopefully it will pick up again as it is such a beautiful place to visit! 🙌

Greetings from the west coast USA. Merry Christmas and hope you both celebrate it well. I now know a lot more about Guernsy, took me awhile to figure out your passport cover since I was so confused it was not the UK going by your accent. You both are very refreshing because most digital nomads are the younger types who supposedly work remotely and try to monetize their videos to fund their travels. You on the other hand took off from the usual life routine after working some years, which I think is more prudent. You do make stable, interesting videos with great content better than many. We ve been to Asia few times. You might find Malaysia has much to offer and the best value for money. You haven't seen a lot yet there. He is obviously the quieter one, we are the opposite! That's what makes it work for us this long...Happy travels and thanks for the effort. Stay safe... don't want another Budapest.

Thank you so much 🤗🙌 omg you will LOVE it!! Depends which you want to do. Re the public boat I heard you literally turn up to the Huay Xai area and you book while you are there. Most of the time there should be space if you get there early if not you can book for next morning and stay over. Or if you want the fancier option ( which is alot but loved it) you can book a cruise over email. I only know of 2 companies. Mekong smile and shampoo. Mekong smile got back to me the same day. Its 190 usd each if you included chiang rai pick up but if you make your own way to Huay xai its 145 usd each. Crossing the boarder is really easy you just follow the crowd. I hope you vlog it would be great to see 🤗🤗

That wasn't the luxury boat cruise. If you check the Utube videos out, this was the least luxury. I feel sorry for the people who took this boat cruise❗
