The government had stopped the import of foreign snacks for about 6-7 months and only recently lifted the ban. Lay's chips, kurkure etc were banned from being imported into the company and that's when Nepali companies started taking over the market with similar products. The first snack you had was non existent about 6 months ago but now it's everywhere and the same goes for a lot of other junk food items.

FYI, Khata is originally a Tibetan ceremonial scarf. It is mainly use for the welcome ceremonies during some important events and weddings. In America and Europe u have beautiful culture of giving flowers for greetings and we Tibetan use khata for greetings.
Hi Max. Thank you very much for your love and support for my country Nepal; I really appreciate it. I find your videos very interesting, you enjoy our culture, the foods and helping needy people. What a kind heart you have Max. It means a lot to us and our country that the outside world now knows a lot about Nepal, what it has to offer, and why people should visit this country. Keep loving and supporting Nepal Tourism. Thank you again and Namaste! -Bijay, Sydney❤

the kha-ta is a Tibetan scarf presented to another person as a sign of welcome or departure to signify the purity of your good intentions towards the other person. It is usually white in color but may also be gold. you will find them in other colors these days but that is due to the easy availability of dyes. otherwise traditionally they were white due to how expensive natural dyes were to procure back in tibet. Although I find it weird that with the ridiculous money that is being charged for a night, the reception that guests receive is not up to par for what is essentially a luxury boutique hotel.

If you had the steam momo with jhol sauce, you had a delicious combination of flavours! The jhol 'aachar' typically includes hog plum, which gives a delightful sourness to the sauce. However, jhol momo is something slightly different; it is served in a bowl with a hot soup base and the momo itself.
