I think using iPhone and wireless mic is the way to go because sometimes places don’t allow you to film with digital camera/dslr but you can almost always get away with phone cameras.

I hate vlogging my travels and have a lot of equipment to do actually that. With today's level of cameras on our phones, it really captures both video and audio on a level that your audience can't really tell the difference. I would invest in a great power bank and use your phone for your travel. This is all depending that you have at least an iPhone Pro of the last two years.

Addressing your camera question. Consider the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. It is great for what you are talking about using it for. I recorded a review of it on my channel. Many other creators have done reviews, too.

Definitely go for the RX. In terms of an audio person. I always work off the rule of thumb that 80% attention works to visuals and 20% to audio. At the end of the day we can tweak our audio up and down on phones, etc. but there’s no way for an end user to adjust content. So take what you can stick in a bag to snap out in a moment and vlog. Not what you feel ‘needs to be’ for AV content. It’ll make it more natural and that’s what we want; BenT content. Not A1 absolute hi-res everything. Think of it as just taking us along for the ride, how you’d include a friend. Safe travels 👍🏼

Hey, regarding your problem with the quality/ filming in public. You could use your Phone. Iphone 4K quality is pretty good. There are external storage you can plug into your phone for more storage, since 4K video on Iphone usually take a lot of storage.

I enjoy your videos by far man. You should do a grooming for men video or something like that. And your dog! 😍 Also, just get your LV side trunk reassessed. Back in 2019, my mom had her whole bag replaced by LV because of quality issues. Like replace the whole bag! Also, I’ve had my first toiletry pouch from them. We assess for normal wear and tear I mean, you won’t lose anything? Just give it a shot!
