Thanks! Beautiful floors! I am looking at COREtec Pro Plus XL Enhanced HD, professionally installed. No kids, two cats, one 40 lb foster. Live in a hi-rise condo that frequently floods due to this and that. As a result no more wood for me!

Thanks for your comment. I have two kids and a large dog they're pretty rough on the floors so far so good. Can't remember the color but I did have to go lighter than the one that I really wanted
@DR-zk1yb4 жыл бұрын
@@squealthewheels3090 My floors are really light, but I love them. I had them installed over really damaged narrow planked golden oak hardwoods. Sounds like a dumb thing to do but Coretec cleans better. Also I think you are better off with a lighter version than you wanted; darker hardwoods/LVP show a lot! Anyway, yours look great!
@squealthewheels30904 жыл бұрын
Yes I really like the color i ended up with. how are you cleaning the floors? my old house had hardwood floors I thought they cleaned up way better but they were way loud compared to cortec.

@@squealthewheels3090 Shaw Hard Surfaces is great! No film. Just cleans. I just spray it a few feet in front of me and it gets the dirt up without leaving a film. I always had a hard time getting the film off my old hardwoods. And the thing I hated was trying to get dirt out in between the planks. I think with the locking system of Coretec, it's so much easier to clean between the grooves b/c the grooves aren't as deep!
@squealthewheels30904 жыл бұрын
Cortech does have a nice tight Locking System if installed right.thats one of the reasons why I chose them. I do use some lavender spray that seems to be working the best for me too.

@stateniland ...I just ordered the premium plus 9” wide planks today but I am thinking of canceling my order after reading all the horrible reviews on the Coretec Facebook page. Lots of horrible photos and a video showing how the floor moves when they walk on it...bounces up and down. People show dents in floors from chairs. Shows smudges and bare footprints. How is yours holding up and what color and thickness did you buy?
@squealthewheels30902 жыл бұрын
@@Lilliancooks sold the house but was satisfied with 2 years i was there.thickness was around 1/2 thick. All about floor prep before you install these floors. Doesn't matter what you install on top of your subfloor if subfloor is no-good(large gaps cracks unlevel) the top will be no good as well.

@@squealthewheels3090 oh, 2 years is not much of a test. I am on a slab so my floors are very level. There are different luxury vinyl planks with different pounds per square inch pressure resistance so some are wood composite with as little as 400 lbs of pressure resistance and some are commercial grade with concrete composite particles with like 2000 lb per square inch pressure resistance . When you buy LVP you not only have to look at the thickness and wear layer but also what the composite in the middle is made of . So you can get a 8mm thick 20 mil with wood composite and it will be more prone to dents from heavy furniture and dripping stuff than a 8mm thick 20 mil wear layer with concrete composite that will be more ridged and more than likely not get any dents from furniture and so on .
@squealthewheels30903 жыл бұрын
Thats the first I've heard of wood composite with vinyl planks.I would definitely not use vinyl planks with a wood composite in it.I can't remember the the hardness number.for me the test is rolling the refrigerator away from the wall. I just don't like it when sales people say that it's harder than wood. They can write any number on the side of the box. I've had real hardwood Oak break drill bits never have a broken drill bit with PVC.

I got Coretec Plus Highlands Oak after a great deal of research. I'm thrilled with it. Everyone loves how it looks. I investigated Pergo, all the offerings from Home Depot, and finally went with an independent flooring store. Easy care, no worries - definitely consider it!

When you get the quality stuff it looks way more real then lower-quality stuff. The box I got said the top image coat was printed in the UK, the rest of the plank is made in China

Great video. At 1:13 you say it doesn't clean up that great... It seems there is a groove between tiles that would be hard to clean dog pee (which stinks) and other liquids from. Would you say this is a drawback from the product?

For that curved section: Could you have undercut it with a saw and slid flooring underneath it? Maybe caulk if you didn't nail it on the undercut?
@squealthewheels30904 жыл бұрын
There was no underneath it.butted it up right up to the round wood section.I guess you could have cut it with multi tool to cut it. I like to keep the gaps to a minimum. If you don't get the cut right with the multi-tool there's a big gap.
