This house cost 59 million dollars or 60millons and there is no tax in the cayman islands so u don't pay for proprty tax or inheritance tax

@asia911 it is about as hurricane proof as a waterfront home can get. and if you can drop $60m on a house, you can probably afford to insure it in the unlikely event it sustains significant damage from a hurricane.

I have seen that beautiful property is still for sale for the moment for $35 million - it was twice that price around 5 years ago so it looks interesting but I don't think it is a good investment or it would not be for sale anymore - there are more expensive and less prestigious properties that go out of the market quite quickly - To me the economical/political context - there are quite many tensions on Cayman Islands if you read local newspaper + the arrival of migrants on unfortunate boats these days + the crime rate that has increased according to locals + the sea level rise (in a few decades or less the property will be endangered by the ocean) + the shallow waters at South Sound where the property is located (I doubt any large/luxurious yacht could stop right there, too many rocks) may be a turnoff for smart investors.

@eyedea81 The house is 48,000 square feet. No way you find a house on the beach in malibu or newport with that much space on 1.4 acres for $15 million. I doubt you can find any place in california with 48,000 square feet for $15 million
