I see right now there is a better cheaper and more sustainable way to build. All that concrete, wiring and wood is uping the cost. Earthen technology is the future. Solar-wind-biogas etc. was absent as well,

Just wondering if you can bag dried expansive clays (black cotton) in plastic bags (to arrest expansion from water) rather than sand, since that's what is available here?

Hi. If you can keep the wall dry, i cant see a problem with using clay rich soil. However, if you have water issues, i would be worried about the timber frame more-so than the sand bags...
