Thanks for putting this video together. I'm building a similar setup from Amy, but for a side-by-side, so very helpful. I'm going to have to move the screen out of the box and blank off the hole, but I think it's doable with the wiring length provided.

Hi. Great video, clean install, and a great idea using the old type bms. I too bought cases and cells from Amy. I received great customer service and she answered every dumb question I had. I used the new inverter bms but i have 2 brand new old bms in draw. Did you find the 280ah cells cheaper than the 304ah? So far I have been running about 4 months on the new batteries, loving it, should have had the confidence to do it earlier. Watching your vid I am tempted to buy more cells and use the bms I already have, that i am not using.

Andy's Garage has some videos about using the Peter Board (board is more than a BMS) or ESP device with Home Assistant (basically free) and this was using the older JK BMS's. I don't use inverter communication, I like to keep things simple and set my charging voltages. Communication adds complexity and a failure point. I would definitely buy more cells and more boxes. I'm probably building another box or two for other projects. As for 280Ah vs 304Ah cells, it's just a matter of price and preference.

Looks smart and very clean build. Sorry if I missed it in the video but what was the total cost for the cells, chassis and BMS? Thinking of building one myself

About $2000 USD for cells, box, BMS/screen, shipping. $1456 for cells, box was $332, BMS screen $150.
