Like, he had already sacrificed Bluefang before she met him. He had tried it before and was going to try it again with or without her. Belos is nothing if not persistent. He literally cheated death for 400 years to bide his time until he could complete his goal. It really isn't Luz's fault, and she shouldn't blame herself for other people's actions, but it just hurts more that she thinks so negatively about herself that she does blame herself.

@@Sheik-yo9fj Turns out Belos is a human from the 1600s and, because of that, he convinced himself witches and demons are inherently evil and humans are inherently good. So he planned to do one of the most despucable acts in human history: Genocide. And, after Luz destroyed the portal in the season 1 finale, she and Lilith traveled back in time and net young Belos, unaware of who he is. He then tricked them into helping him find the Collector, a child-like god whom he manipulated to taught him magic and a spell to kill all witches with a sigil. Luz also teached him the light glyph, which Belos later used to make people follow him. When she learned that, she felt very guilty. And that got worse when the Day of Unity started and Belos' evil plan entered in motion, and the only way they could stop it was that King freed the Collector so they could stop it under the promise of playing together. But the Collector's idea of playing involves reshaping reality, so they began destroying anything, and Luz, Gus, Willow, Amity, and Hunter only escaped througth Belos' rebuilt portal to the human realm, which git festroyed in the chaos, leaving them stranded. Luz feels that, if she hadn't traveled in time and helped Belos, nothing would have ever happened. Of course, she's putting too much guilt in herself since Belos could have manipulated somebody else to help him abd find the glyph anotjer one (since he learned by himself other 3).

I truly prey that the finally will be a good outcome Luz and the rest of the gang. I don't want her to just go back to earth and not being able to see them again. Doing so would be so bogus. Luz was always sad and anxious. All she did was hide those inner feelings. But now that she met Eda, King, Hooty, Lilith, Amity, Willow, Gus and Hunter, All of these characters who played a role on her and given her a sense of belonging she can finally be happy. So yeah, I don't want the series to just end with Luz going back to square 0 and being trapped on earth forever.

I see so much of myself in her it's almost too painful. I didn't lose my father, but I have lost people before and experienced unfortunate events, and felt unwanted and ostracized in my younger years because of the way my brain was built. Escapism into fantasy realms was something I did constantly to soothe the pain even just a little bit. God I just.... I'll never forgive Disney for snatching this show away from us like this. I'm thankful that we'll get an ending at all, but it's a travesty so much was cut.
