You are correct. The handle is different from the leather trimmings. The handle actually is made of cork leather . The SA was partially correct. I used to make these bags in 2018 in the TX manufacturing center . I’m a former Leather Artisian for LV

It’s so nice to see someone who truly respects and takes care of their purses. I stated collecting bags 15 plus years ago. I have strict rules that must be followed at all times. One such rule is that the bag never touches the ground or a table. All of my bags including my very first designer bag is still in good condition. When I first started collecting I asked my parents for a new bag for Christmas. My dad immediately said no (he wasn’t ok with buying a bag over $400 only for it to be destroyed). Fast forward 1 year he changed his mind. He saw the love and care I put into each bag. Do you have a table purse holder? If you don’t I highly recommend you get one. The hanger allows for addition care (under the desk/restaurant etc.)

Great review! I do the same with my Artsy as well, I have the old model without the leather trim. That’s a such a great idea about putting the air paper in the corners as I noticed it does crease. 👍🏾

The handle is different because the leather has not been treated, but they treated the leather on the trim. You need to return it to them and tell them you want another one. I just returned THREE of my bags yesterday that all were doing the same thing due to their placing treated and untreated leather on the same bag. I exchanged them for the DA Artsy, but I'm definitely going to keep my eye on it to see if it starts to happen again. Your sales associate doesn't know what he/she is talking about. If you're not comfortable with the patina process then return it. It's your hard earned money and you should be happy with your purchase. Plus, they need to know it is NOT okay for them to be making the bags this way. They need to use either treated, or untreated, leather on all the areas of the bag. Not just in areas they think are "problem" areas. Once enough people complain about it and return their bags they'll stop half-assing things. Beautiful bag though!!

Regina, this bag was on my wishlist even before I could even dream of owning such an expensive bag. With that said, I do have to say I don’t use as much because it’s heavy. My shoulder would be hurting after a full day. I do feel that, the strap will become more soft with use and then become more comfortable. Looking forward to using again during the summer. Hope this answered your question☺️ Do I regret it ? No, because I love the bag and I’m willing to deal with the heaviness. Thanks for watching Luv🤍

Hi Vicky, thanks for watching. I’m still in love with this bag as much as I was before I got it, this was my dream bag. I haven’t been using it as much with all the lock downs and since it’s been cold and raining, but I’m looking forward to the summer 🤗 it’s still a bit stiff when you first get it, it should get more comfortable as you wear it. Hi Alicia, I didn’t have any issues with it but I haven’t used it in the last 3 months and honestly I’m not someone that uses sleeveless shirts. I did spray with with Apple guard. Hope this helps, the bag is a beautiful bag ❤️

@@JoviLandav please please let me know what they say.i have to order my stuff on line because I live 7hrs away from the nearest boutique and being on the phone with them you get so many different answers! It’s so frustrating. The same as the way my handle is darker than the trim. On the old versions I know they faced down, but on the new versions I have seen them facing up and then a few that face down. I’m wondering if where it’s made makes a difference. Mine was made in the USA.

But I actually just came back from the LV where I always shop at with my SA and we did an exchange, she said it was defective. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I’ve had the bag for little over a year and never knew this.
