If one has $745 and would like to spend it at Louis Vuitton, I would definitely recommend the Kirigami. It's such a good value because the two bigger pouches can easily be used as alternatives to the Pochette Accessoires and the Mini Pochette with a relatively affordable conversion kit. Also, for anyone who is curious, an iPhone 13 Mini does fit into the Mini Pochette.

Wow, I didn’t realize how much LV charges for the mini pochette. I bought mine in 2014 for $300. I wouldn’t repurchase today because I don’t believe it’s worth it.

Before u know it, this little cutie will be over $1k, so Yes... Get this piece NOW if you can. It is a beautiful piece and I bought it in all canvas prints for $310 and they have held up beautifully. I told a SA that the piece was so inexpensive for what the piece looked like. At the time, it looked about $750. YSL and the other brand you showed are nice, but it will never hold the resale value of a LV Mini Pochette If u buy the mini Pochette, you want to sell down the road, you'll most likely get all of your money back, close to it or more Whenever you buy YSL (which I've purchased a lot of) immediately depreciates in value the moment you walk out the store The mini Pochette is better than all of the other items. It's important to think if you ever may sell one day..bc if you do, you'll probably get 20-40% of what you paid... In comparison to the beautiful LV mini Pochette.. Which will never depreciate in value I feel the $745 price is on point! Get it before it goes up and up and up! You'll be getting a great deal now and you can rest assured that it will maintain its value ❤️

Finally managed to get my hands on it earlier this year through the LV website and when it arrived, I could not believe how cheap and flimsy it felt! Returned immediately. The Kirigami set, on the other hand, is well worth it.

Love your videos! I just started my luxury collection journey and it makes me sooo upset to learn how much these SLGs used to cost! As you said, “What am I? An idiot?” That’s how I feel whenever I make a purchase compared to what people paid years ago 😂 I have purchased the mono and DE mini pochettes preloved in new/very good conditions and yesterday, got my hands on the PA from the LV website! These are the LV classics so I HAD to have them regardless of the price. I agree they are indeed expensive for what you’re getting but having barely started my collection, I felt I had to have them! I started late too just last year2021 when prices soared way more than usual and items were hard to find but since I wanted to get it from the store so I can have it on my record than buying second hand, I paid the present price. I was looking a the classics since 2011 but couldn't afford it back then, somehow last year I was able to start a small collection. If you love it don't compare to the old price it will rob you the joy of owning one 😉. It will just get more expensive from here on so the present price is the cheapest you can get unless you get 2nd hand.

Honestly, I’m quite pleased with my $75 Coach Wristlet (that I got for $37.50). It holds everything I need and the strap is removable. I also love the feel of the leather since it’s from the Coach boutique. I originally ordered the Nolita 15 from the outlet but was not impressed. I can understand now why people don’t care for outlet items. Plus it didn’t hold as much as I expected it to.

Love the Chanel mini O case. Eva clutch used to be $775 and Pochette accessoires was $500. Now mini pochette price is almost equal to the Eva clutch that has a chain and crossbody vachetta strap. Maybe this unreasonable price increase is on purpose, it’s working since nobody wants to buy it anymore.

There isnt any reason than being huge LV fan to justify spending that money for little pouch. I remember the time when Alma bb was 650€. Definitely YSL option is more appealing and the variety of colours are very nice too. Also really like the Mulberry version. Never really considered UK brands such an Aspinal of London or Mulberry but made me think about more. Maybe pay a visit one day while in London. Very eye catching little piece. It's easy to say that it's not worth $745 when you have already have it. Although there are alternatives, there isn't a SLG that matches the MP. The closest thing is the Coach Nolita 15...it has the same basic shape, however it's leather. That may sound like a good thing but the leather isn't as pliable, therefore it can't hold as much as the canvas MP. It's also heavier to carry in a purse. I purchased a leather MP last year, but ended up returning it for the reasons I stated above. It just doesn't compare to my canvas MPs. Also, given the MP has a wider base, it just holds more than the average pouch. Of all my SLGs, the MP is the onething I ALWAYS carry in my bag. I think everyone's best bet is to try to purchase it on the pre-love market. Although those prices are getting higher, it's still not anywhere near $745.

I’m pretty sure I never said that it wasn’t worth it. I always say worth is subjective and when it comes to these luxury items. It’s worth whatever it’s worth to you - if you find it’s a good value for the purpose it serves, then great! I stated that I really enjoy my mini pochette. My point was that I probably would use the $745 to buy something else if I were given the option to buy it all over again at the current price. Seems like you would agree given you’re touting the Preloved market.

I'm only trying to point out that it's still a pretty unique SLG and pre-love may be the way to go to avoid the boutique price. Some were lucky to have gotten it b4 the major price hike. I bought the kirigami set instead of the mini pochette. The medium one is my catch all instead and is about the same size. 3 for the price of 1. Who can beat that?! The Mulberry WOC is so beautiful! Love that it doesn't have huge branding like the YSL one. Plus it's more unique. Definitely buy it the next time you're in London! I'm getting burnt out of seeing Channel, Dior, Hermes, LV. I'm loving Tod's because no one wears it in the US, and they have buttery soft leather and amazing colors like Hermes!

My first Louis Vuitton purchase was nearly $3000 in SLGs, tax included. I asked if they had the SpeedyB 25 or 30 in Monogram but they did not. So I bought all of the SLGs I could get my hands on in store. Included in all that was the mini Pochette in black bicolor emprient. Roughly $745 tax included. That was August of last year. My SA almost talked me into a Papillon bag charm. It was over $700. No thanks. A couple of months later I bought a 2020 Christmas Animation mini Pochette new/giftable from Fashionphile. Thought I hit the jackpot since I only paid about $625 with tax. I’ve gotten most of my LV wish list items either from the boutique or preloved. I would like some Chanel but I think I’m priced out. I’m on the lookout for preloved but I’m not obsessed which tells me I don’t really need it. I think I’m done with buying for now but I live vicariously through KZbin videos.

Buy preloved if you really want a mini pochette. I bought a 2011 mini pochette, spent some time cleaning the hardware and just sent it off for new vachetta. The cost to replace the vachetta tab is $45. I have just over $500 invested after I pay for the new vachetta. I am happy with that price point as it will be nearly brand new again. The older mini pochettes have thicker canvas and a heavier chain.

the price increases have been such a shock to us luxury lovers, but LVs price increases have seemed especially drastic! I used to love LV because the price point was relatively lower and the coated canvas is so carefree, *but* i definitely couldn't imagine choosing a canvas piece when comparable brands have leather goods for similar (or lower!!) prices!!

Check out the Coach Nolita which I purchased as alternatives. I bought 2 Nolita 19 which cost $80-90 at the time I bought and 1 Nolita 15 in Woodbury Coach outlet. I think they’re great!

I love my coach nolita 19, I have had mine for several years so it is the older style before they tried adding the LV style strap. I can use the chain on the bag as a wristlet, as a strap for over the arm, or tuck it inside for a clutch. I have a long faux leather strap I use to carry it crossbody as well as a shoulder strap chain from Amazon to carry as a dressy shoulder bag. My moto stylus 5G phone does fit inside. Currently on sale for $95-$130, I think the top price now is around $220. I paid $125 for mine and it has definitely been worth it.

I paid about $300 gently used. I bought it because I saw it on every YT and really wanted it in my collection. I was shocked at how small it was and how little it can hold. I didn't use it for like 6 months. But now I use it as a mini catchall and if I need to run into the gas station or want to use a small bag like thr LV favorite I use it as a wallet. I purchased the same mini DE pochette in Feb of 2018 for $310 as well. After the pandemic, everything went crazy 🙄😩 I have it in the monogram and Damier Azur as well. Both purchased at $310 each and basically brand new. Maybe I should get insurance for all of them. Lol 😂

Yeah, no. Sorry, it is a little absurd to lay 700 and change, even if you can afford it. I don't feel it is just luxury anymore. It is just not worth that price. Love luxury , and I love my pieces. A good alternative is the coach Julianne ( from retail) it is very classy, and made from crossgrain leather. 75 usd , and it often goes on 25 % off.

I had an order in last year for the MPA but they cancelled it a few days later *bright smile* Amazingly, there seems plenty of stock, but I am not prepared to pay the new price. In the meantime I went for an Anya Hindmarch pouch in nylon with leather trim as my catch all: super durable and squishes into bags no problem.

For $745 you can purchase a bucket pochette 2nd hand and it fits a phone. Mini pochette have never been worth the money to me.
