@@ThaSupaboi considering how hard this matchup is, ven played pretty well against a high lvl Palu . Ven knew his character limits, and made up for it with patients, excellent neutral and amazing punishing into kill confirms. Zelda is crazy with her kill confirms if you land it, and ven made sure he didn’t miss any chance to go in for a kill with lightning kick in any advantage situation and even in disadvantage .

Ven is amazing, but seriously just kinda let Lui$ shield for free. Zelda doesn't get nothing off of grabs. Strong enough to send them of stage or at least get stage control and in some instances kill confirms but it's as if Ven unbound the grab button

the problem is that Zelda’s grab is frame 10 at fastest, so she doesn’t have the frame data to try and use grab as a punish against most of Palu’s moveset

Idk much about competitive smash but if there is one thing I do know it's that they nerfed the shit out of my girl zelda and I'm bawling over the drop from low A tier to low C tier still gonna keep playing her tho, even if she drops to F

What are you talking about? This is the best Zelda has ever been in any Smash game. And she consistently got buffs throughout the game too. She’s better now than she was when the game came out

@@coqui9879 every tierlist I go to and everyone i ask keeps saying she fell off, highest I've seen as of recent is High D tier when a few years back I saw her in like high B low A, as for my personal experience with her I keep getting folded but I'm not sure if it's because the competition got better or if I'm having an unlucky losing streak

​@@IFuckingLoveFrenchToastI haven't heard the same. She's consistently always been in low tier and doesn't have a huge player base competitively. But as far as your losing streak, I'm not sure what your play style is, but what helped me was doing B less Zelda practice sessions in casuals to really learn her neutral and confirms and then add phantom in. Essentially you want to be solid without having to rely on nairus love, wifi up b snipes, and phantom cause the higher you rise, the more players will be able to punish you for them. Also, giving how floaty she is and how slow she is, it's important for your spacing and neutral to be on point in order to not get smoked by characters that just out play her. If you look at Ven, he uses phantom to control space and force players to play around him, but his Zelda's neutral and confirms are spot on.

As much as I dislike Zelda's poor design, it's still interesting seeing Zelda do well against one of the best Palutena players in the world. It really shows how balanced this game is (relatively balanced), in the sense that you can do really well with 99% of all characters in this game if you're really passionate and believe the character has untapped potential. This is coming from a guy who enjoys seeing both these characters lose even though they're not that troublesome to deal with.
