OMG I JUST REALIZED: At the beginning, Kris is currently possessed, as you can see through the speech options. However, when they say, “HOLY SHIT GET IT OFF!” They’re so shocked by Frisk, that the player(heart) literally FALLS OUT of the speech bubble. I theorize that this is the player losing control/getting kicked out, and hence why Kris isn’t possessed for the rest of the comic.
