Jamaison, AND Jackie (love FM Loon!), that was a pretty ambitious project and I think you did really well. I am not a huge fan of cutting small pieces unless I am highly inspired to do so, lol. I love the interpretation you both have. Well done!! ❣

Another tip- draw your shape(s) , score them, then go over the score line with a Sharpie- the ink will seep into the score line, and will then withstand the vibration and water if the saw- and no sticky stuff to get in the innards of the saw!

I feel for you. I have Achilles tendonitis which really sucks when I walk the dog. Thank you for another great video. That paste is fascinating. Gotta get me some!

The manufacturer demonstrates cutting at the Vegas glass show using the rubber cement method. Also you should have a clear triangle piece that pops onto the saw arm as an additional eye shield.

I don’t have that shield… I will check their website

Great project! What great idea. I am going to try the rubber cement trick. I usually trace the pattern in the glass and use Vaseline. That has been pretty successful.

Thanks for the video. I liked seeing the paste portion. I also had a project with the pink I wanted darker edges on it. I ended up using a light plum powder to get the darker edges. Just a thought

I cover my Milwaukee marker with Vaseline or aquaphor. I love the rubber cement and will try that!

I love the tip with the rubber cement. I have used chapstick and that really doesn’t work for me. I always learn something new from you. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you again for your video and way of explaining your way of working also the very nice result of your work. How is your leg? Hope getting better. Liked it very much as I at the moment also work with vitrage fusing and discover problems on the way. Should like to understand where you buy this Earth Piping Paste, was not able to find this out as well how to buy from Tabitha. Is paying her per piece or weight? Hope very much to hear from you. Especially concerning the Earth Piping Paste. Thank you and I keep following you.

Check your local glass supplier to see if they carry Colors for Earth products, or visit www.colorsforearth.com. Tabitha’s murrini are at www.tabithasglassemporium.com

Thanks for the great video Jamaison. I was thinking you would have got the same effect with the black base glass without the paste because of the space left between the upper glass. Would that be the case?
@JamaisonSchuler
@JamaisonSchuler 5 ай бұрын
Yes, I think I would have gotten a similar effect, but I worry that my glass pieces would have spread a bit more? The paste kind of raised up and filled in a bit… gave a more grout-like effect vs just having a void.
