JOTA-JOTI is the world’s largest digital and radio Scout events, promoting friendship and global citizenship 📻 📡 💻 🌍
#LX9S is the callsign of the European #jota station in Luxembourg. Previously, the broadcasts were made from Geneva, where the Scouting World Bureau of the WOSM (World Organization of Scout Movement) used to be located. They moved to Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia a few years ago. In Geneva the callsign HB9S was used. When organizing the JOTA there was no longer possible, it was moved to Luxembourg in 2018.
The Luxembourg Scout Federation FNEL in collaboration with the Radio du Luxembourg Society is in charge of the organization. With an international delegation of radio amateurs from Malta, France, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands, they set up a large station. Members of Pi4RS Radio Scouting have also supported this station from the start with our knowledge and materials. This year's 2024 edition was the LX9S event in Mondorf in the south of Luxembourg near the French border. It was a big success!
