Im Turkish, beside the beautiful view of Oludeniz and the surrounding mountains, you should go to the ancient city of Termessos in Antalya what a beautiful amphitheater they have stunning view
@priscillad83 жыл бұрын
In a short trip, is it worth going to Antalia or already staying in Fethyie? I say for those who like nature walks more than in the city. Apparently you can make butterfly valey and oludeniz on the same day
@MattandJulia3 жыл бұрын
Hi Priscilla, depends how long your short trip is, if like one week and you prefer nature, head straight to Fethiye if you have a couple then maybe a few days in Antalya would give you something a bit different 😊 Butterfly Valley can be reached by boat from Oludeniz in about 1/2 hour 😊x

Loved your latest video. You are both certainly serious hikers. Here's another long hike that can be done. The Appalachian Trail runs 2190 miles from Maine to Georgia. Keep up the good work! I especially liked when you walked up to the edge of Butterfly Valley, and then edited to the drone shot. That was a great transition. That's a lot of walking though. Rest up! Gonna have sore legs in the morning.

@@MattandJulia In that case I'm glad that I got to witness your longest walk ever. Now I'm tempted to see if I can walk 30 km. I have a video idea for you guys in the future. Kate Clow breaks the trail up into 30 days. You could hike the trail and make a short 5 minute video at the end of each day and a longer more holistic video at the end. I only hiked once from Kabak Koyu to Alanca. However in Alanca I stayed at a cheap hostel, dinner & breakfast included, and they had WiFi. I imagine it's that way for a lot of the trail. Ironically enough, Kate Clow had stayed at that same hostel the night before. The trail would end in Antalya, which is a pretty incredible place.
@christugce74333 жыл бұрын
If you guys will be back in Izmir before you leave, I'm currently staying in Karşıyaka. In Karşıyaka you can make a quick walk to the top of this hill, which would be good for an opening shot and a drone shot of the area. It would have to be early morning on a nice day, because it gets quite hazy pretty quickly. Also, I ended up trying those 'bomba' deserts because of you guys.... So good! Last but not least, for future inspiration, take a look at Trout & Coffee youtube page, for his style where he does a voice-over at the end to tell a story.

I returned from Lycian way a few days ago. The hills were cool even in August. I visited about ten antique cities and skipped at least that many. I wish this video showed some of the antique cities. Lycian way has the highest density of antique cities on the planet. They were built by Luwi (Luka) people - relatives of Hittites. This is on top of the natural beauty of the trails whose westernmost 50 km section is in this video, whereas Lycian way is longer than 400 kms.
