Hi, my little godson would like to have a plum pillow :). He got the idea from a tale. Any idea how can i enlarge this pattern i dont know but like ten times bigger. :) Maybe its too much though. Any tip is welcomed. Many thanks.

Well, to make a bigger toy, I’d first take a much thicker yarn. Maybe some kind of plush. And you need to adapt the pattern. Make the rounds with increases until the toy becomes the right size

I don’t quite understand how it works with the slip stitch and the chain. At my first try I got an extra stitch in every round, then I skipped one stitch when making the slip stitch but now the slip stitches don’t go up the plum straight but rather in a curve… I don’t know what I’m missing.

There are two ways to crochet the round: with a slip stitch or without it. When we crochet with a sl st, we start a new row from the same loop in which we made a sl st. At the end of the row, there is a step from the sl st, ch and the first loop of the row. We make a sl st in the last one, then ch and start a new row, and so on in a circle.

You can try to crochet without a slip stitch. Then we simply start a new row in the first loop of the previous row.
