The weirdest thing about the ideas that this girl has to offer is not that she made me run to the stores and get new clothing items that I’ll wear only once. It’s that she made me rethink my wardrobe and I suddenly came up with so many combination ideas for my already existing clothes that I’m now saving money and in a way contributing less to waste. Hi Lydia, I'm really enjoying your videos. I think from the 80s and post kids I lost my way with style and finding it again. I do love the 80s inspired classy styling you incorporate with modern pieces. I'd rather save up money for classic long lasting pieces than throw away items. My wardrobe needs an overhaul and so far I'm collecting t shirts and jeans. Rhe jeans are challenging because I'm 5ft 1 so troubled with that dept and also length of Blazers literally drown me. Yes, rising costs are real! Not that you would know it on Instagram. Lydia is really grounded and better than most at creating content which allows us to reuse what we already have. But because of their jobs (gifts etc) influencers have very enviable wardrobes and don’t seem to have the same money restraints.

In the past I would either copy people by color and concept but then don’t understand why it doesn’t work out on me so I would blame the pieces I have and buy the exact same outfit as the inspiration or I would pick one outfit that works and stick to it without trying to mix and match.
