The fact that this man made it through all that, at such a young age, and still managed to find joy in expressing his love for music and singing...I mean damn. He never made records encouraging violence, despite all the violence he saw. That's real groundedness right there, the Nas of R&B.

I went in at 16, we had a robbing crew. I was the youngest, so I got offered a deal first, could have went home, but i didn't tell. They told, got less time. I did 7 years, hit a guy with a lock while inside, caused me 15 months in hole. That time in there changed my life. It was peaceful in there. Went home at 24, now at 40 I'm a millionaire. When I see prison stories on KZbin, I go to the comments to tell my story. Not to brag, but to motivate. So many have no hope after being released. Well i am that hope. Prison at 16, use to kick in doors, no diploma, can't rap or shoot ball, felon, black man...millionaire. You're past don't matter, don't let no one tell you what you can or can't do. Better yet, don't tell yourself what you can't do. (For those asking in comments, I make most of my money building custom houses. I explained below, I went to trade school at night when i got out. I got a government loan bcuz of my record, i had to pay it back, but the loan helped me get into trade school. Passed my state exam, worked in construction learning how to build, started my company with 4k, read so many books on real estate while working, flipped a house, made 30k on that flip, never looked back, rest is history. Didn't happen overnight. In comments said jump on AMC stock, at $3.87, its now up over 30%, could have been easy 30% profit if you brought & sold at $5.03)

I now build custom homes & trade stocks. I have flipped houses, but more money building for others. Sad part, so much money in it but not many black men doing it. I also trade stocks, they all have been good to me & my family. But nothing like building. Doing one for a client now, they're paying me 240k to build, I'll be finished in 6 months. Last stocks are on sale now, buy into good companies while they are on sale. I like to buy the dip. But once again most of my money came from real estate & construction

Those situations happen all the time where it’s the wrong house or bad information. This happened with some of the guys from the “Bath Ave Crew” The Bath Ave crew were guys in Brooklyn that were a “farm team” for the Bonnanno crime family in NY. Jimmy Calandra,Tommy Reynolds,Chris Pacielo went to a home in Staten Island because they were told there was a safe containing a million dollar cash there. It was supposed to be a older guys house that was involved in the porn business and they were going to tie him up and empty the safe. There wasn’t supposed to be anyone there but the guy. They ring the doorbell and a mother of 2-3 kids opens the door and Reynolds accidentally shoots her in front of her daughter and they take off. Shit can go bad really quickly when you are doing dirt like that. A simple robbery can turn into a homicide and your life is over. Crime isn’t worth it. You might get away with shit a few times and you think that since you got away with it you can do it again but that 4th time shit goes south and someone usually a innocent person ends up dead. That’s when shit gets real and that’s when people start telling to save their own ass. With cameras everywhere, informants, people telling left and right it’s not a good business to be in

People need to understand he agreed to the interview. Vlad could be a better interviewer if he didn't focused on people past so much pressing the issue and more on their present status. People calling him suspect isn't new either I get why people do say that and honestly not a good look for him at all but hey he feed off the culture better than most and people let him🤷🏾‍♂️💯💯
